Real name: Dr. Jean Grey Code Name: Phoenix Other Aliases: Red Occupation: Doctor, X-Woman, former Dean of Students Group Affiliation: X-Men Base of Operations: Westchester, NY Legal Status: Registered mutant Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: Dr. John Grey (father), Elaine (mother), Sarah Grey (sister, deceased), Joey (nephew), Gailyn (niece) Height: 5 ft. 6 in. Weight: 110 lbs. Eyes: Green Hair: Red Age: 28 Place of Birth: Hudson, New York
Powers: Jean has both strong telekinetic and telepathic abilities that allow her to: sense, send, and pick up thought patterns; create mental illusions; change memories; manipulate parts of another's body; create protective shields; stun minds with 'mental bolts'; levitate and propel both herself and other objects; use concussive bolts; stimulate molecules into generating heat and cast minds into the astral plane.
Weakness: Phoenix is susceptible to psionic and magical attacks. In such cases, her Psyche is reduced. A second weakness is the weakness of “Jean Grey’s” control; killing or exceeding the Jean’s restraint of the Phoenix force may trigger the transformation to Dark Phoenix.
Strength level: Possesses the normal human strength of a woman of her age, height, and build who engages in moderate regular exercise
Costume: White/Gold
History: Jean Grey is the younger daughter of Professor John Grey of the History Department of Bard College in Annandale-on Hudson, New York, and his wife Elaine. When Jean was ten years old, she was playing with her best friend Annie Richardson when Annie was hit by an automobile. The emotion that Jean felt as she held her dying friend awakened her own latent telepathic powers, and she thus experienced Annie's own emotions as she died. This traumatic occurrence left Jean in a withdrawn and deeply depressed state. Moreover, Jean discovered that she could not control her newly awakened telepathic abilities, and had to isolate herself from other people to keep hold of her sanity.
Finally, when Jean was eleven, a psychiatrist recommended to her parents that they consult a colleague of his, Professor Charles Xavier, who was secretly a mutant with telepathic abilities. Xavier explained to Jean, but not to her parents, that she was a mutant, and he treated her for several years. During this time he erected psychic shields in Jean's mind so that she would not be able to use her telepathic abilities until she had achieved the maturity necessary for dealing with them. Simultaneously, he taught her how to levitate and manipulate objects through psionic force. When Xavier judged that Jean had reached a certain level of mastery of her telekinetic power, he recommended to her parents that they enroll her in his newly established School for Gifted Youngsters. Unknown to Professor and Mrs. Grey, this school served as a cover for the X-Men, a team of young superhuman mutants being trained by Xavier to combat the threats posed by other mutants who used their powers against humanity.
The original five X-Men remained together for several years. Shortly after she joined the team, Grey and Scott Summers, the X-Man known as Cyclops, fell in love with each other. Although neither told the other his or her true feelings for him or her for quite some time, they finally openly admitted their love for each other. When Xavier released the psychic barriers preventing Grey from using her telepathic abilities. Grey's added maturity and her years of practice in using her telepathic powers enabled her to use her telepathic abilities from that point onwards. Hence, with Xavier otherwise occupied, she could use her own telepathic powers to aid the X-Men.
Sometime later, after Xavier had recruited several new members for the X-Men, Jean was forced to sacrifice herself for the sake of her teammates while rescuing Professor Xavier. It was presumed that she died after her efforts succeeded, but it was later discovered that she did not. Instead a great entity known as the “Phoenix-Force” merged with her body. Grey's strong moral sense keep the phoenix force under control, and usually subconsciously prevent her from using her powers beyond a certain limit.

Real Name: Unknown/Unrevealed at this time
Code Name: Rogue
Other Aliases: Dr. Kellogg, Carol Danvers, Ace
Occupation: Former Terrorist, Adventurer (current)
Education: Partial Law Degree
Group Affiliations: X-Men, The Evil Brotherhood of Mutants III (former)
Base of Operations: Westchester, NY
Legal Status: Unknown Mutant
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: Raven Darkholme alias Mystique (unofficial foster mother), Kurt Wagner alias Nightcrawler (foster mother's son) , Graydon Creed (foster mother's son, deceased)
Height: 5 ft. 8 in.
Weight: 120 lbs.
Eyes: Green
Hair: Auburn with white streak
Age: 26
Place of Birth: Caldecott County, Mississippi
Powers: Known superhuman powers: Rogue possesses the superhuman ability to absorb the memories, knowledge, talents, personality, and physical abilities (whether superhuman or not) of another human being (or members of some sentient alien races) through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person. (Sometimes she also duplicates in herself outward physical characteristics of her victim.) The victim's abilities and memories are absorbed for a time sixty times longer than the amount of time Rogue was in physical contact with that person. The victim loses his or her abilities and memories for exactly the length of time that Rogue possesses them. Due to unknown factors Rogue has permanently absorbed certain superhuman powers from Ms. Marvel I. She also permanently gained a fifth of Wolverine's healing factor when he saved her life not long after she first joined the X-Men.
When Rogue possessed a duplicate of Carol Danvers' psyche, her "double" consciousness gave her high resistance to telepathic probes; it is not known if she still possesses this resistance.
After a battle with a rogue band of Morlocks Rogue gained the ability to control her absorbing power after touching the morlock known as Off-Switch who could turn another mutant's powers off through a form of telepathic thought.
The weakness of this ability is costly, once she is weakened, Rogue cannot command this power to her will and it becomes dormant.
Strength level: Superhuman Class 50
Flight speed: Sub-sonic
Weaknesses: Prone to minimal damage from physical attacks, becomes weakened after too much physical exertion. Can become plagued by the stored stolen psyches in her mind, often resulting in headaches and nose bleeds. If she absorbs too much it is possible she can overload her brain resulting in death or a deep coma. Due to the vast amounts of psyches stored within her own, Rogue is also prone to displaying the symptoms of various personality disorders ranging from bi-polar to multiple personalities and depression.
Costume: Green/Yellow-Gold
History: Rogue's real name and the identities of her parents still remain unknown. She grew up in Caldecott County, Mississippi near the banks of the Mississippi River. Early in her teens Rogue discovered her mutant powers when she kissed a boy named Cody Robbins. He fell unconscious and her mind was suddenly filled with his memories. She soon learned that she had the power to absorb the memories and abilities of other people by touching them, but she could not control this power.
The distraught Rogue found refuge with the mutant Mystique, who was like a second mother to her. When Rogue grew older she joined Mystique's terrorist organization, the third Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. In battle with Carol Danvers, the original Ms. Marvel, Rogue absorbed her memories and superhuman powers. But, for unknown reasons, Rogue unintentionally absorbed them permanently rather than, as usual, temporarily. Thus Rogue gained Ms. Marvel's superhuman strength and ability to fly. She also now possessed a buried alternate personality that duplicated Danvers and that, in future years, would sometimes supplant her own.
As a member of Mystique's Brotherhood, Rogue battled the X-Men, the Avengers, the original Spider-Woman, the Dazzler, and Rom. But Rogue grew increasingly upset over her inability to control her absorption power and her fears that Danvers' psyche would overwhelm her own. Unable to find help from the Brotherhood, Rogue turned to her enemies, the X-Men, instead. Convinced of her sincerity, Professor Xavier admitted her to the team, and she quickly proved herself a loyal member.
Except for some temporary absences, Rogue has remained a member of the X-Men ever since. She has never gained conscious control of her absorption power, but her passage through the mystic "Siege Perilous" rid her of Danvers' personality.
During a period she spent in the prehistoric Savage Land while the X-Men were temporarily disbanded, Rogue grew close to the X-Men's then reformed foe Magneto. They broke up when Magneto returned to his life of terrorism. After rejoining the team, Rogue fell for the mutant thief called Gambit ( Remy LeBeau); the feeling was mutual. But after being forced by Erik the Red to kiss Gambit, Rogue learned Remy's dark secret: he had aided and abetted the massacre of the Morlocks, an uderground community of mutant outcasts. At Rogue's request, the X-Men left Gambit to fend for himself in the frozen wasteland of Antarctica. Eventually, he rejoined the team and reconciled with Rogue.
Recently Added information: Kidnapped by the mutant known as Rancor, Rogue was put through horrorific torture both mentally and physically. Due to this experiance, her powers have been blanking on her, making her vunlerable and often resulting in extreme bouts of fatigue and mood swings.
** Anything highlighted in Green reflects occurances due to story lines in Role Play the Character has gone through and has nothing to do with Marvel.**

Real name: Unknown, First revealed as Yvette Code Name: Penance Other Aliases: Yvette St. Croix, Penny Codename Etymology: Pronounced pĕn'əns [From Latin paenitentia "penitence"]; An act of voluntary humiliation performed to show sorrow for one's sins. Occupation: X-woman, Teacher/Student Group Affiliation: X-Men, Generation X Base of Operations: Westchester, NY; formerly the Massachusetts Academy Legal Status: unknown, believed unregistered mutant Marital Status: Single Known Relatives: Ambassador Louis Cartier St. Croix (adopted father), Monet St. Croix (M, adopted sister, former guest of Yvette’s body), Marius (Emplate, adopted brother), Claudette and Nicole St. Croix (Twins, adoptive sisters, formally Penance as well) Height: 5 ft. 5 in. Weight: 230 lbs (completely dense, no fat) Build: Athletic Eyes: (Normal) Blue-no visible pupils. (Upset/Primal) Red-no visible pupils Hair: Red Age: 20 Place of Birth: Yugoslavia
Powers: Penance is a mutant whose molecular structure has atrophied, collapsing within itself until every part of her body now has the density of diamond. This leaves every edge of her body, including hair and fingers, sharp enough to be capable of cutting through stone and a great aversary to admantium. Her dense body also leaves Penance highly resistant to physical injury, and anyone striking Penance without protection will probably cause injury to themselves. Penance’s body has also become a ‘black hole’ for energy since her stay with Emplate, leaving her the ability to suck in energy (mainly electric energy as in lights, radio waves etc.) However Yvette’s first x-factors before being ‘introduced’ to Emplate, would be a telepathic connection with anything organic. However the ability to project these thoughts and having her own mind read has been slim to none since she was in Emplate’s control, as well as used as a ‘cell’ to hold Monet and the Twins in her body. Since she became her own being once more, she is trying to find her original powers once again. Also-has red skin and glowing blue eyes with no visible irises or pupils since birth.
Weakness: Penance tends to fall into primal urges from night terrors and memories she has from being Emplate’s captive. She is unable to be read by any telepath (even Xavier, Jean Grey and Emma Frost cannot… however Franklin Richards is able to tap into her mind). She is also Mute and sometimes, due to her lack of interest or short temper, believed deaf (though isn’t).
Strength level: Possesses above average strength.. However, her skin is not able to be penetrated by most, if any, means.
Costume: Black uniform made by straps of a very unbreakable material when wrapped numerous times together. (Suit was found on her when Gateway dropped her at the Massachusetts Academy).
History: Shortly after Generation X had formed their team, Gateway appeared and dropped an unconscious Penance onto the front lawn of the Acadamy. Having rarely spoken a word since he knew the X-Men, he managed to utter a single word to them, "Penance". She was then brought inside by Sean Cassidy. He discovered then just what her powers were as he cut his hands badly as he tried to pick her up. This girl's skin was a deep red tone and was completly sharp as a diamond. Her spiked hair and hands were evidence of that. This girl was a mystery to them since they knew they would not hear another word from Gateway, telling them about her. They would not hear it from her as well, she seemed to be mute and/or deaf. Placed in the infirmary, she was watched over as Sean and Emma attempted to find out who she was. It did not take long before the intelligent M brought up some thoughts of her own. She summarized that she had been a prisoner of Emplate. She looked at their hair, both had similar spiked hair. Looking at her starved, atrophied body, M stated that since Emplate supped the marrow from mutants to temporarily take their power, Penance must have been a prisoner of his for a long time to come to this state. Understanding this, Emma came to the conclusion that her strap suit was not for decoration or modesty, but for restraints. They were at a blank on who she was as Emma could not read Penance's mind, she only came up with a blank or interference. They let her rest in the infirmary and left to see what the others were up to. Unknown to them, Penance awoke with one thought on her mind, "survival". With this she tore apart her new "cell" and broke out of the Academy to be free at last.
Hearing the alarms of a breach, the team rushed to the infirmary and stared at the extensive damage she caused during her escape. A large storm was underway so the team split up to find her before she could cause anymore damage to the area or herself. Chamber strayed off alone, knowing that she was a kindred spirit, they both knew the pain of being trapped in a horrible body. He knew that she would somehow find her way to him, so he sat in the woods and waited. Paige and Sean shortly came across gouges in the trees as well as footprints to follow. They were unaware until it was too late that she was tracking them more than they were tracking her. Penance burrowed up from the ground, which dropped Paige into an opening underground. Sean attempted to help Paige but nearly had his tongue cut off by Penance before she wounded Paige and escaped. Running next into Synch and Jubilee, she couldn't penetrate the force field that Synch placed around himself and Jubilee. Synch had copied Penance's power in an effort to escape any harm. Seeing this, Penance took off again. She then literally ran straight into M, but was only captured temporarily as Sean sonic screamed at M in order to release Penance before she did damage to anyone else. It was then that she finally ran into Chamber. He stood his ground and talked telepathically into her head, attempting to convince her that he knew how she felt being trapped. She was about to slash at his face, but his words calmed her down enough to realize what she was doing. When she was completely calmed down, she was led back to the Academy to start her run with Generation X.
During her stay at the Academy, she rarely stayed around the others. Her animalistic nature kept her away from the others as well as her hesitance to be captured again. All that she had been through and has now become had turned her into a timid, skittish wreck. Sean attempted to discover her native language, seeing how she never spoke to anyone, and read from language books to help her. Jubilee was especially friendly with her, often taking apples out to the biosphere to her. Jubilee spent what time she could with Penance. During her time at the Academy, she had her good times and bad like the rest of the team. Later on, Penance suffered a form of seizure while at the pool with Jubilee but soon recovered. She did eventually begin to trust her new allies and even went on a mission with them to find Cassidy Keep that had disappeared.
Emplate made regular attempts on reclaiming Penance, but he has always met with failure. However later, it was found out that the Monet St. Croix everyone thought was the true M, was truly her two twin sisters Nicole and Claudette. Monet St. Croix really was their older sister. She did not agree with her brother's plans to conquer his alternate realms and the earth realm and for her insults and disagreement, he transformed her into the Penance form. He changed her body to a razor sharp body, took away her voice and told her that he was the only one who could help her. He changed her so badly and told her to "consider it her Penance". With that, she was told that only he could turn back his spell on her and so she was forced to follow her brother to his alternate realm and there she became his prisoner. However, later it was found that Emplate had only used one of his former prisoner’s body (a prisoner who he had cast the spirit from draining her to the point of death) to trap Monet in.
After the twins told the team the truth about Monet and Penance, they felt absolutely horrible about impersonating their sister for so long. In order to make amends, they decided to do something about it. Here the twins merged together again into their Monet form and they grabbed Penance's hand. Within a show of light, two people emerged. One was the form of Penance, while the other was a shocked Monet St. Croix. The twins merged inside the Penance form, which allowed for the real Monet to be released. The twins have now become the one's trapped inside the Penance form.
Since this point, Penance has once again resumed her spot in the background. Those at Generation X still refer to the twins in that form as "Penance". Monet, now released from the Penance form has now proven that the twins couldn't make her snobby nature at all, this Monet is far worse. One of the first things that she points out is the way Jubilee treated her as Penance, a big fight between the two erupts. As the fight continues, we finally see that Monet thought that Jubilee treated her as a pet while in that form. That she was like an animal fed apples like a horse. Things have not, and probably never will get any better with these two but the team is still determined to find a way to cure the Penance state.
Lately Penance has seen attention from Monet, this is very refreshing. Monet is usually an uptight snob to everyone, being in the Penance form hasn't mellowed her attitude, but she feels responsible for her sisters' state and is doing what she can to help them cope. Things may not be in the most positive light for Penance, but Generation X is determined to do all they can to help her in anyway possible.
Later in an event that even Penance herself doesn’t remember, an explosion freed the St. Croix twins. She didn’t know how, but she did remember one thing-she found herself. In the past Emplate had sucked her soul/spirit out of her form… and now Yvette was back into her body, only she found it different-hard… however Yvette had to learn everything all over, including her original powers and how to accept mental links. Yet one thing was unknown to everyone-Emplate found out Yvette and Penance were once again whole.
Some time after her the explosion back to her own form, the Massachusetts Academy was once again attacked by Emplate and his group the New Hellions, who wanted to take Penance back with them. When Emplate was about to kill Banshee, Penance betrayed Emplate and attacked him, forcing him to flee. Emplate called her "Yvette," giving an indication that he knows about her past.
However, Sean Cassidy and Emma Frost thought it would be wise to send the St. Croix twins back home to their father-and soon after a few more attacks, talking to Cartier St. Croix. Within the year Penance was adopted by the ambassador and officially named Yvette St. Croix and lived with the twins and Cartier until recently called back by Emma to become a teacher of stealth/tactics for the New York Academy.

Costume: Appears to be black leather. However it is a unique design by Dr. McCoy designed to gain size with Piotr when he goes into armored form.
History:Born on the Ust-Ordynski Collective farm in Lake Baikal, Siberia, to Nikolai and Alexandra, Piotr Nikolievitch Rasputin is the younger brother of Mikhail. While Piotr was still a teenager, Mikhail became a Russian cosmonaut. Soon, it was discovered that Mikhail was a mutant with the ability to warp energy and the State staged his death in a space launch, letting his family believe he was dead, so they could better explore Mikhail’s powers and, at the same time, shield him from outside influences. Eventually, Mikhail and his crew traveled into a dimensional void, not to be seen again for years. It was only after Mikhail‘s “death“ that the Rasputins had a third child, a girl who was named Illyana. Piotr tried to be there for her as an older brother, just like Mikhail had been to him, and nicknamed her “little snowflake“.In the following years, Piotr found out that he was a mutant as well, with the ability to turn into organic steel. He used this power rarely on the famly‘s farm. One day, however, he spotted a runaway tractor racing towards Illyana, who was playing in the fields. Transforming into his steel-form, Piotr grabbed Illyana, but couldn't get out of the way in time, so simply stood still and let the tractor hit him. It crumbled before his strength. It wasn't long after that that the russian mob made contact with him about employment. However the mob did not know of his mutant ability, after all he used to bend steel bars in human form. As an enforcer and a messenger he made enough to support his family. One day while making an exchange with someone he was betrayed and fired upon. The bullets did very little aganist his armored skin. The mob, now discovering that he was a mutant rejected him and considered him a traitor. To teach him a lesson they killed his mother, father and younger sister to teach him a lesson. They used their new "super agent" Omega Red. Piotr got there just in time to see the life drained from his little sister by Omega Red. The following battle nearly claimed his life, having barely managed to escape he was contacted by Charles Xaiver. Since then he has been with the X-Men, proving himself in battle many times. He also managed to persue his love of Artwork and actually teaches Art at the school. "When in battle, there is no safer place to be than behind the wall that is Colossus"
