Real Name: Joshua 'Josh' Foley Code Name: Elixir From: Flushing, New York, USA Age: 16 Hair Colour: Blonde Eye Colour: Golden Family: Mother, Father, Legal Guardian (Danielle Moonstar) First Appearance: New Mutants # 5 (3rd Series) Current Training Squad: New Mutants Powers: Omega-class healing ability. Can heal on a molecular level, which means there is no injury which he cannot repair, including death. History: Josh Foley joined the anti-mutant group, Friends of Humanity, when he was in his teens. His family and friends all have anti-mutant feelings which influenced Josh hugely. He was brought to his first meeting by his friend Duncan and made himself known to Donald Pierce, the group leader, almost immediately by questioning if all members of the Friends of Humanity had to have cybernetic parts. Josh felt that he wouldn't be able to fight mutants without some sort of 'tools' but didn't want cybernetic implants as they might make him less attractive to girls. Less than impressed by Josh's high opinion of himself, Pierce used his implants to slash Josh across the palm. However, the wound disappeared immediately, leaving Josh and Duncan to believe that Pierce had not actually made contact with Josh's skin.
Josh was part of the group that kidnapped Sofia Mantega's father and assistant, in an effort to capture Sofia herself. During this mission he demonstrated an impatient manner and was ever eager for action. When Duncan was injured by Sofia in the ensuing fight, Josh healed him inadvertently. Both he and Duncan were shocked by what had happened and when Duncan threatened to turn him in as a mutant, Josh attacked him. Pierce, arriving on the scene, killed Laurie Collins and was then attacked by Kevin Ford. Shocked by what he was seeing, Josh actively tried to use his powers for the first time in an effort to revive Laurie. He was successful but still refused to believe that he was a mutant. When Danielle Moonstar offered him at the place at the Xavier Insitute for Higher Learning (she had been in the area looking for him before the kidnapping) he turned her down rudely, refusing to join a "freakshow."
Returning home, Josh found himself at the mercy of his friends who savagely beat him while his parents watched on, unwilling to help. With nowhere to go, he went to Xavier's where he became David Alleyne's new roommate. David, however, had no friendly feelings towards Josh, believing him to be a bigot and refused to be civil towards him. Initially he chose Dani as his supervisor as he believed she was the only person at Xavier's who wanted him there. While at Xavier's, Josh tried to get his family to accept him for who he had become, writing them a letter in which he explained everything. He was delighted when they showed up a two weeks later. Unfortunately, they had not come to take him home as he had hoped. Instead, they named the school as his new legal guardian and asked him not to contact them again.
During his first few weeks, Josh became friendly with Julian Keller and his friends. The three students who he had attacked as a Reaver, had little to do with him. Only Laurie liked him, but she was too shy to say anything. Josh decided that he needed to do something to make people notice and accept him, so he decided to try to wake Magma from the coma she had fallen into after being crucified. With the help of Julian, he made his way to the infirmary and jump-started Magma. Although Magma woke up, her powers surged out of control, destroying part of the building, and she ran away. Instead of being treated like a hero, Josh was called before Xavier himself and punished. Josh's friendship with Julian and his friends came to a sudden end when Emma Frost told Julian that Josh had been a Reaver. Julian, with the help of Santo Vaccarro attacked Josh, but was interrupted by Sofia, David and Laurie who stood up for the former Reaver. After this incident, Josh became more of a part of the 'New Mutants.'
Although he had become a bit more accepting, and a bit more humble, Josh was still impatient, impulsive and self-assured. When Rahne Sinclair asked him to help her to track someone down, he immediately agreed even though he had already been forbidden to leave the grounds. This got him into yet more trouble, but was the beginning of a short relationship between himself and Rahne. During their first kiss, his healing reactivated Rahne's mutant powers suddenly. Rahne, not expecting the transformation into the wolf, attacked and killed Josh on the steps of the school. Surprisingly, Josh healed himself, reviving himself from the dead. In the process, he turned his skin golden, although the reason for this change in currently unknown. If anything, this incident raised Josh's high opinion of himself. His relationship with Rahne is currently unclear. Although she ended it for age reasons, he still showed interest, asking Laurie out on a date in an effort to make Rahne jealous. Shortly afterwards he kissed Rahne who resisted at first, but then seemed to kiss him back.
After Magneto destroyed the Xavier Institute, Josh secured his place with the 'New Mutants' and finally showed himself to be comfortable as a mutant by acting as bait in a trap to catch Donald Pierce who was on the run and looking for revenge. When the school was rebuilt he was officially placed on Dani's New Mutants training team and given the code name Elixir. The team and the uniform seem to have convinced Josh that he is a superhero and he has become incredibly eager to fulfil that role and go on missions. Despite his ego, Josh showed himself capable of following orders and was not disappointed when he was not assigned as leader of the New Mutants.
DeFillipis & Weir Profile: Josh Foley (Elixir) is a 16 year old from New York City who thinks that his mutant ability to heal with a touch should make him immune to anti-mutant hatred. Josh is the golden boy - literally. He is popular, good-looking, athletic and smart. He wants to be adored. His ability is by close proximity - he tends to touch his targets, but can heal through clothing. The faculty is aware (but hasn't told Josh) that Josh is an Omega Class mutant. Though he currently only heals, he has the potential to alter the body's functions on a genetic level. After being injured and nearly dying, he healed himself and triggered a change that made his skin a golden color. Josh was once a member of the Reavers, a group that targets mutants and tried to kill Sofia. He switched sides and came to the school. He is adjusting to being one of the "different" people, and tends to defuse situations with humor. Josh has a crush on one of Dani's former teammates, Rahne Sinclair. Even though they are only three years apart in age, there's a generation difference between them. Josh's parents disowned him and Dani Moonstar is now his legal guardian.

Real Name: Noriko 'Nori' Ashida Code Name: Surge From: Toyko, Japan Age: 17 Hair Colour: Black/Blue Eye Colour: Brown Height: 5'7" Weight: 135 lbs Family: Mother, Father, Brother First Appearance: New Mutants # 8 (3rd Series) Current Training Squad: New Mutants Powers: Absorption of electricity which can be discharged or internalised as bursts of speed. Uncontrolled, requires stabiliser guantlets. History: Noriko Ashida ran away from home at the age of 13 after she dscovered that she was a mutant. Her father refused to believe that mutants even existed, and her mother did not disagree with him. Because of this, Nori felt that her only option was to leave. She moved to America and lived on the streets, taking 'downers' to try to regulate her powers which often surged out of her control. Eventually, she heard of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning and travelled there in an attempt to get help. Unforunately, she was met at the gates by Julian Keller who refused to let her in, saying that the school was a private one, not the Salvation Army. After being turned away, she collapsed in an alleyway behind The Grind Stone, a local cafe, where she was found by the cafe manager, Luna DePaula, who asked her if she was alright. Unable to control herself, Nori's powers errupted, striking Luna and knocking her unconscious. Afterwards, Nori took some money from the cafe, needing it to purchase her 'downers.' The next day, she encountered Josh Foley who remembered her and apologised for Julian's behaviour. Before he could invite her back to the school, she used her powers to run away from him. Back at the school, Josh told Dani everything he knew and Dani promised to try to find Nori. Instead, Josh and Rahne Sinclair took matters into their own hands, and accompanied by Dani's other students, went to find Nori themselves.
They found her thanks to the instructions of a homeless man who told them that Surge, as she was called, was up the hill buying some pills from a local dealer. The 'New Mutants' decided that the pills must be what was causing Nori to use control of her powers and Sofia Mantega used her control of the wind to knock the pills out of Nori's hands. The opposite was true, and Nori used the pills to try to control her powers. Without the pills she once again surged out of control. Although Rahne was ready to attack her, David Alleyne managed to calm everyone down and convince the young mutant to return to Xavier's with them. At the school, Nori was introduced to Dr Henry McCoy, also known as the X-Man Beast. He gave her a pair of gauntlets that would help her to regulate her powers.
Initially, Nori was wary of almost everyone at the school and kept her distance from David, Sofia and the others. After they broke into the Danger Room to recover a piece of her gaunlets (she had damaged the gauntlets earlier that day during a tour of the school and not realised that a piece had been left in the Danger Room), she began to realise that she could trust the group and became much more open. When the school was divided into training squads, Nori became part of the New Mutants and her offical codename because Surge, the name by which she had been known on the streets. Shortly after the forming the the New Mutants, Nori began to work part-time at The Grind Stone, in an effort to pay back the money she had stolen. Around this time, Nori was also given a roommate, Sooraya Qadir. Sorraya followed her native tradition of wearing a burqa, but Nori was disgusted, feeling that the burqa was a symnbol of oppression and subservience to men. She immediately took a disliking to Sooraya, and is rude to her at every available opportunity.
DeFillipis & Weir Profile: Noriko Ashida (Surge) is a 17 year old from Tokyo who absorbs electricity at all times. She absorbs from static in the air and from appliances, outlets, etc. She can't control the absorption. She can discharge the energy through lightning blasts or she can channel it into bursts of speed. If she takes in too much energy, it causes mental overloads which cause her to speak too fast, and scatters her thinking and worsens her control over the blasts. She ran away from home when her powers developed (because her Dad "didn't believe in mutants") and lived on the streets for several years. To control her powers, she took drugs - downers that slowed down her overloaded brain. She came to the school just before it was destroyed, and is a relatively new student. She was brought there by our other regular characters. The school has provided her with gauntlets to control the intake and output of electricity.

Real Name: Laurie Collins Code Name: Wallflower Age: 15 From: Kent, Connecticut, USA Hair Colour: Blonde Eye Colour: Blue Height: 5'4" Weight: 118 lbs Family: Mother (Gail), Father First Appearance: New Mutants # 2 (3rd Series) Current Training Squad: New Mutants Powers: Pheromone-based manipulation of emotions. Partially controlled.
History: Laurie Collins was raised by her mother not knowing who her father was. Her mother kept her father's identity from her delibertately. He had been famous, popular and very powerful. He was also a mutant with the ability to manipulate people's feelings with his pheromones. His used this ability to manipulate people and to get what he wanted from them. He had used his powers on Laurie's mother, Gail, to get her to fall in love with him. However, one day his powers stopped working and Gail discovered what he had been doing. Disgusted, she left him. She didn't know that the reasons his powers had stopped working was because she was pregnant with his child. Deeply affected by what had happened, Gail became something of a loner and put all of her efforts into raising Laurie and earning enough money to keep them both. The young Laurie picked up on her mother's feelings and copied them, preferring to keep her own company. She didn't want to make friends because she knew that her mother had once been hurt by someone.
Laurie's powers first manifested on a holiday she took with her mother when she was 13. For the first time in her life, Laurie was incredibly popular and had lots of friends. However, her mother realised that Laurie had developed the same powers as her father. She explained to Laurie about her powers and told her that it was unfair to use them on others. Laurie decided that people could only like her because her powers were making them and withdrew even further into herself. Back at home her powers surged out of her control, pushing her feelings onto everyone at her school until it became a huge problem. Worried about her daughter, Gail decided to entrol her in the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning and moved to Salem Center. However, she asked Laurie to live at the school, hoping that she would find it easier to make friends with the students at Xavier's. Laurie had become too shy and afraid of her powers to interact with the students of the school and made no friends. Although she was paired with roommates who were immune to her powers, she pushed them all away. When a riot broke out at the school, Laurie was terrified and thought that her pheromone power might have been to blame for the violence.
When Sofia Mantega joined the school, she became Laurie's new roommate and refused to be frightened away. Instead she involved Laurie in her life until they became friends. With Sofia's help, Laurie became more outgoing. Although still very shy, she began to make friends with Danielle Moonstar's 'New Mutants,' the group of kids Dani had recruited to the school. She even developed a crush on Kevin Ford. When the group was attacked by Donald Pierce and the Reavers in New York, Laurie tried to use her powers to save them. Since she had never tried to control her powers before, it didn't work and she was too scared to do anything before she was killed by Pierce. Laurie was brought back to life by Josh Foley and, after Kevin left the school, developed a crush on him, though she was too shy to act on it. When Josh began a short-lived relationship with Rahne Sinclair, Laurie became jealous, though she tried to hide it, and was delighted when Josh asked her out after he and Rahne split up. It seems, however, that he may only have asked her out in an attempt to make Rahne jealous.
Although she had been at the school for over a year before Dani arrived, Laurie picked her as her advisor, feeling comfortable with both her and her other advisees. Her friendship with the 'new mutants' has helped her to become more sure of herself and she reaches out to other people more than she used to. She has also gained more control over her powers, seeming to try to control them more after her failure to do so resulted in her own death. When Josh was attacked and killed by Rahne, Laurie gained full control for the first time. When Xavier's was destroyed by Magneto and rebuilt, Laurie became part of the New Mutants training squad and was given the codename Wallflower. Recently, in a fight with the Hellions, Laurie controlled her powers fully and used them effectively, keeping Santo Vaccarro well out of the way of the others.
DeFillipis & Weir Profile: Laurie Collins (Wallflower) is a 15 year old shy girl who is just learning to control her ability to project pheromones that alter other people's emotional states. The pheromones often project when her emotions are aroused, so she generally stays away from others - but she has been brought out of her shell by her roommate Sofia. Laurie's pheromones are scent-based and carry over a range and she can affect entire crowds. She is learning to project emotions other than those she is currently feeling. She is the daughter of a mutant with a similar (but more controlled) ability. He used his power to force Laurie's mother to love him. When she became pregnant, she became immune to the power and left him. Laurie's mother, Gail, now lives in Salem Center and is very protective of Laurie. Laurie has a major crush on Josh Foley, who once saved her life.

Real Name: Sofia Mantega
Code Name: Wind Dancer
Age: 16
From: Caracas, Venezuela
Hair Color:Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Height 5'5"
Weight: 124 lbs
Family: Mother (Miranda, deceased), Father, Uncle (Paolo), three cousins
First Appearance: New Mutants # 1 (3rd Series)
Current Training Squad: New Mutants
Powers: Wind manipulation. Can use the wind to fly short distances from the ground and carry voices to her. She can also cause it to grow in strength and blow in the particular direction she wants.
History: Born and raised in Venezuela, Sofia Mantega lost her mother in a riot. Ms Mantega had been out shopping for a present for her daughter - a charm bracelet that Sofia now wears at all times. Sofia was playing with her young cousin when she learned of her mother's death. Using her powers, she made the wind bring her the voices of her Uncle and his friends, who were discussing what to do. As her Uncle could not take her - he already had three children and did not have the patience to raise a mutant as well - Sofia was sent to her father in America.
Mr Barrett had not know he had a daughter until the phone call from Venezuela. Although he took her in, he made it clear that he had no time for her and was very unhappy about the fact that she was a mutant. Sofia began to learn English and was sent to school. Her new classmates, however, had as little time for her as her father and alternated between ignoring her and making fun of her. Sofia refused to be saddened by this and continued to try to make friends. On the day of her first birthday in America, Derek, Mr Barrett's personal assistant, bought her a charm for her charm bracelet. Her father did not know it was her birthday and did not care, merely instructing Derek to buy his daughter a present rather than spending time with her as she had hoped. At school, Sofia attempted to persuade some girls to do something with her for her birthday, but they refused. Finally angered, she used her wind powers to raise her over the school wall and made her way to her father's department store. Once there, Sofia unleashed her powers causing immense damage in the store. After collapsing to the floor, she was arrested and brought to the local prison. When questioned on her motives, Sofia told her father that she had done it to see if he would notice. Although Mr Barrett agreed to drop the charges, he refused to do so for 48 hours and informed Derek that Sofia would be returning to Venezuela.
At this point, Danielle Moonstar intervened, offering Sofia a place at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Sofia accepted the invitation and said her goodbyes with Derek, who had come to care for her like a father. At the school, Sofia was given a tour by Professor Xavier and then a fellow student, Julian Keller. Due to her eternally optimistic outlook on life, she was placed in a bedroom with Laurie Collins, a young mutant who found it difficult to control her pheromones. Laurie had already scared away several roommates and spent most of her time alone, but Sofia refused to run away like the rest and constantly drew Laurie into everything she did. The two girls became close quickly, and Sofia stopped being friendly with Julian when he called Laurie a freak.
Sofia and Laurie became part of a group of students, all recruited by Dani, including David Alleyne, Kevin Ford and Josh Foley. Although she had no contact with her father, Sofia stayed in touch with Derek and arranged to meet him when he was in New York for a few days. Unfortunately, both Derek and Mr Barrett were kidnapped by The Reavers, an anti-mutant terrorist group. Sofia and her friends attempted to rescue them, but found themselves outnumbered. They were saved by Dani and Xi'an Coy Manh. During the fight, Derek quit his job when Mr Barrett refused to allow him to help Sofia. Derek next visited Sofia during Parents Week. Her father also came, but only so he could speak to Derek about rehiring him. Sofia once again unleashed her powers on her father and said some harsh things to both him and Derek. Afterwards, she was distraught, believing that Derek would never speak to her again. However, when she returned to her room he was there waiting for her.
Sofia was among the group who broke curfew and discovered Noriko Ashida, bringing her back to the school with them. When Xavier's was rebuilt following its destruction by Magneto, she was placed on Dani's training team, the New Mutants and given the codename Wind Dancer. During their first training exercise, Sofia assumed leadership, but despite her general confidence, failed to come up with a plan or inspire her teammates. In the end, the others followed David and Sofia was disappointed to realise that she had been such a failure. Throughout this time, she began a certain flirtation with Julian, something often commented on by her other teammates. When Kevin was arrested by the F.B.I. for the murder of his family, Sofia accompanied Julian and the rest of the Hellions to break him out, without the rest of her team. when the New Mutants came to stop her, Sofia revealed that she had felt that they did not believe in her. They explained that they did and made her see that what she was doing was wrong, causing Sofia to turn against the Hellions. When they returned to the school, Sofia asked David to become the team leader. Although he agreed, he did so on the condition that he and Sofia be joint leaders, telling her that while he might be the brains of the groups, she is the heart and soul.

Real Name: Kevin Ford Code Name: Wither From: Atlanta, Georgia, USA Age: 15 Hair Colour: Brown Eye Colour: Green Height: 5'7" Weight: 131 lbs Family: Father (deceased), Mother (deceased) First Appearance: New Mutants # 3 (3rd Series) Current Training Squad: Hellions Previous Training Squad: New Mutants Powers: Ability to decay any organic material that comes in contact with his skin. Uncontrolled. History: Kevin Ford was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia by his father after his mother died in childbirth. A keen artist, Kevin spent much of his time working on various pieces of industrial art and won first prize in the Atlanta Art Competition. At his school, Frederick Douglass High School, Kevin was quite friendly with his art teacher who encouraged him in his work. When he was 15 his powers kicked in and his father was accidentally killed. Distraught, Kevin left his house and wandered around Atlanta before find himself in a junk yard where he was attacked by a guard dog. Once the dog touched him, it died, Kevin having the uncontrolled power to kill organic flesh with a touch. When he was found by the owners of the junk yard, they immediately believed that Kevin had killed the dog deliberately and attacked him for being a mutant. He was saved by Danielle Moonstar who had been sent by Professor Charles Xavier to recruit him to the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.
Kevin confided in Dani, explaining that his powers had developed slowly. At first, he only affected little things like flowers. Soon, his clothes began decaying and eventually he decayed anything that touched him, including his father. Kevin had no control over the process and was deeply affected by what had happened to his father. Dani told him about the Xavier Institute and Kevin was eager to go with her to the school, and eager to be an X-Man one day. At the school, it was discovered that Kevin's skin broke down and decayed organic material but that he could not affect synthethics and he was provided with clothes and furniture to refect this. Initially, Kevin found it difficult to make friends at the school as many of the students were scared of his power. However, during a self-defence class he met David Alleyne ,Sofia Mantega and Laurie Collins who invited him to lunch. Laurie immediately developed a crush on Kevin but was too shy to say anything. Kevin, meanwhile, appeared to be interested in Laurie but before he had the chance to say anything was caught up in a fight with the others against the Reavers who had kidnapped Sofia's father and her father's assistant. When Laurie was attacked by Donald Pierce, Kevin lost control and tried to use his powers to kill Pierce. He was only stopped when Dani used her own powers to make him see his worse fear - Kevin suddenly thought that he was using his powers on Laurie and saw her die at his hands. After this, Kevin decided that he was too dangerous to stay at the school and decided to leave until he learned to control his powers.
After the school was destroyed by Magneto, and subsequently rebuilt, Dani began to search for Kevin, hoping to bring him back to the school where he would become the sixth member of her New Mutants training squad. Unable to locate him by herself, she was forced to ask Emma Frost to use Cerebra to track the young mutant down. Emma and Cerebra found Kevin in Staten Island where he was working in a junk yard and using unwanted scrap for his art. Dani tried to convince Kevin to come back to the school but failed, and it was Emma who eventually succeeded in convincing him. Although he did not trust or like Dani, Kevin agreed to be on her squad after learing that Laurie was on it. Unlike the others, Kevin chose his own codename, deciding on Wither. During their first training exercise, Kevin showed a desire to use his powers more often than he had before leaving the school, and had to be stopped form using them to kill Lockheed, Kitty Pryde's dragon. Soonafter, Kevin discovered that another student Cessily Kincaid could touch him without being harmed, as her skin is composed of non-toxic mercury. Cessily attempted to flirt with Kevin but realised that Kevin was interested in Laurie. Undeterred, Cessily introduced Kevin to the rest of the Hellions.
Shortly after his return to the school, Kevin was arrested by the FBI for the murder of his father. During this incident it was Emma Frost and the Hellions who seemed to stand up for him the most, while Dani was the one who agreed to hand him over to the FBI. This drove Kevin further away from both Dani and the New Mutants. When he was taken into custody the Hellions attempted to break him out, heedless of breaking the law, while the New Mutants decided to go along with both Dani and the law. In the end, Kevin was not imprisoned, as Agent Pierce has promsed Dani, but he no longer felt that his place was with the New Mutants, feeling they had betrayed him, and requested a transfer to the Hellions.
DeFillipis & Weir Profile: Kevin Ford (Wither) is a 15 year old from Atlanta who is good at art. He developed the unfortunate ability to decay any organic material that comes in contact with his skin. His death touch makes it hard for him to interact with others. When his powers first manifested, he accidentally killed his own father. Dani recruited him in the pages of New Mutants and he clung to the hope that he could be an X-Man. But when he attacked a villain and lost control, Dani had to use her powers on him. His worst fear was using his powers on his friends (on Laurie in particular). That vision, combined with the realization that using his powers "felt right" made Kevin realize he was a danger to the other kids. He left the school so he could learn control without putting anyone at risk. Dani tracked down Kevin, but was unable to convince him to return to the school. Instead, he was convinced by Emma. He became a member of Dani's training squad because Laurie (and to a lesser extent, David and Sofia) is on that squad.

Real Name: Weapon X- Experiment 23 Given Name(By Sarah): Laura Kinney Alias: Xevannah Kinney Codename: X From: Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Hydra Facility. Birthdate: Unknown, even to herself. Age: 17 Hair Colour: Raven Black Eye Colour: Originally- Green When Angry- Red Current Training Squad: Hellions Family: Sarah Kinney (Surrogate mother), Logan -Wolverine ( DNA replicant) Powers: Heightened Senses and Strength, Exstensive Healing Aibility, Two bone claws at her knuckles and One in her foot (All graphed in Adamantium).
Personal Song: Duality- Slipknot
History: Thanks to the power of telepathy in Emma Frost the history of X-23 was known to Xavier. X-23 was born and yet at the same time created. A Genetisist by the name of Sarah Kinney was assigned to the formidable task of making a perfect duplicate and clone of the first Weapon X agent, better known now as Wolverine or Logan. She was to be the start of the next generation of weapons, better than the original but the same still. Unfortunatly the Y chromosome was damaged and a perfect replica was not possible. Twenty-two experiements were made and twenty-two failed until finally in a fit of anxiety and desperation to perfect the process, Sarah disregarded her orders and made the next Weapon X. Unfortunatly it was a female, but in all aspects it was the same yet superior to the original. Sarah bore the child but in the end would find herself regreting it all.
Growing up in the padded room, X23 was never allowed to be treated like a child as she was a weapon not a person. Under careful constant watch she was trained and taught, taught the art of martial arts, the art of combat, the art of war, everything that would make her the perfect weapon. But Hydra could not weed out every little affectionate moment. Sarah herself often snuck in childrens stories and was careful in her hiding. X23's favorite time began to be when Sarah read to her the story of Pinnocio, a puppet who became a real boy. Even her Martial Arts Sensei Tanaka encouraged her like a student and a master, not a trainer with his weapon. Often he found himself scolded for this action and in the end it was his doom.
The project overseer Zander Rice was ruthless in his ways. He disagreed with Sarah in every way as well as Sensei Tanaka. At the age of twelve Rice had enough of waiting and decided to boost X23's powers. X23 then went under a painful procedure. In a chamber she was strapped to a bed and Radiation was poored into her body. The theory worked. X23's healing ability was charged and her claws ripped through her skin. After she healed, which was only a matter of a day, Rice put her to another procedure. Without sedation, without any numbing, Rice alone extracted each bone claw and laced them with the metal known as Adamantium. Then he replaced them into her body. Finally she was perfect, and her first kill was that of someone she liked if not loved, her Sensei. With a new developed trigger scent X23 found herself enraged and in a fury killed her Sensei without remorse.
Soon she was sent out on mission after mission, and for three long years she killed without any remorse or thought. Anyone who got in her way. Meeting every rendez-vous time with moments to spare. Until one where Rice took her out himself. In the end he left early as she was returning and she was shot dead. Or so he thought, X23 returned with only minor scratches and at the amazement of others. Soon she went on a personal mission with Sarah, helpng her find her kidnapped neice, and she did. Killing the man who kidnapped the girl.
Soon enough, X23 was sent out on her last mission before she obtained her freedom. She killed Rice ruthlessly, just as he had taught her. When she left the place in shambles she didn't take to a home or house no, she instead took to the streets. Joining a group of prostitutes and living in the luxury of the street life. She had no home, no family, no anything. She made friends here and there while on her little conquests and many enemies.
Not long after a run in with the X-men she found herself again smelling the scent of Wolverine. A scent all to familiar. But it ended up not being him himself but instead a small group of the newest trainees in Xavier's Institute. She attacked a girl named Nori before finding herself in much pain at the hands of Kevin Ford aka Wither. But instead of turning to ashes her healing ability kicked in and her skin just began to melt away before growing back. His touch did not affect her fully.
Somehow in the end he managed to talk her into staying at the Academy and with the help of Emma Frost the Xmen now knew whom she was, or at least why she was created. They allowed her to pick her own name, instead of her disignation of X23, she chose Xevannah Kinney. Her new name, her new honour, her new life. Her code name was not X23 anymore either, but she became mostly known as X. She trusted Emma Frost for some reason and she trusted Kevin a bit, so it wasn't a surprize that this trust won them a new addition to the Hellion's team.
Project Weapon X tried to make a perfect weapon, trying to weed out all emotions and attachments. But they didn't succeed, instead they only created a troubled Teen, with a temper no one likes and a anger problem which she needs to learn to keep under control. She was Pinnocio, the puppet who became a real Girl.

Birthday: December 17th Age: 16 (17 in a few days) Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Blue Height: 5’8” Weight: 147 Lbs Current Training Squad: New Mutants Family: James Hudson (Father-Decease) Heather Hudson (Mother). Logan –Wolverine (Biological Father) Powers: Extensive heightened Regenerative powers. Phantom form, Astral/Corporeal form , the ability to see anything dead (Feelings, People, Powers). Limited Control.
History: Like anyone else, James Hudson Jr. was born in a hospital. He was born December 17th to James and Heather Hudson. A happy healthy baby boy. But the young child was only biologically connected to one of his parents, his mother. Jamie was named after his father, being their first and only child. The memories of his father are at best slightly hazy. When he was a young boy there was an accident. His father James, had been a leader of a group in Canada called Alpha Flight. In order to fight along side mutants James Hudson Sr. Had a suit he wore. The suit blew up, much to the horrorific sight witnessed by Heather Hudson his wife.
James jr. was raised alone by his mother. Finding he had the same driver and scientific curiosity. He tended to experiment and quickly learned his way around a lab. Along with mechanics. With his father gone, his mother had become the leader of Alpha Flight. Taking over in her husbands stead was hard for both of them. But there was one secret she kept. Before Jamie was every born the younger married Hudsons found a wild man. He’d tried to attack them. There was so much rage in the man, that Heater soon found out the reasons. The man, who was reveled to be called Logan, had been experimented on. And he was a mutant. It took a while for him to recover and get over the shock of the tri-blades that came out from between his knuckles.
Every step of the way and healing process Heather was there for him. And Logan soon developed feelings for Heather. Proclaiming love for her one night while James was out fighting, it was after that night, Logan realized she would never leave James. Logan left with no other word. When James returned home Heather found comfort in his arms, never reveling her digressions. 9 months later Jamie came into their lives. Still living in Canada James jr attended normal schools always believing he was a normal child. As he started high school he was often times ignored. Too good at studying besides, who wanted to be friends with the kid who’s father died. But Heather began to wonder, if her son would ever so signs of being a mutant. For years there was nothing.
By the time he was sixteen he’d been helping his mother modify the suit for three years and was getting pretty good at it. But this time was different from the rest. The suit reacted and fired off a powerful pulse beam. Jamie was in it’s direct line at close range. It took death to awaken his latent mutant abilities. It all felt weird to Jamie who could feel a mix of pain and nothing. He saw himself in his mother’s arms. It was the first time he separated from his body. In wanting to go comfort his mother it awakened what was dead inside him, first flesh decayed completely until he was nothing, then reconstructed his entire flesh. What took 9 months and fifteen years happened in a matter of seconds. It took him two weeks to get back to a state where he was able to keep every organ, and body part in once piece.
He stopped attended normal High School for his mother’s fear of what might happen to him. If his powers reacted or people found out. She knew there was only one place for him to go. Xaviers Institute for Gifted Youngsters. It was a school and training grounds for young mutants. Heather knew it was the only place her son could go. She also knew that there might be the chance he found out her long kept secret. However the super regenerative powers weren’t really his primary mutation. They helped with what it really was. Jamie was a ghost. While he hadn’t figured that out yet or transferred over to the Astral plane(ala current storyline) he found he could live in a corporeal form in the living plane. He’d even been starting to figure out how to pick things up in this form, as well as going through solid objects.
Current: The final bits of his powers manifested upon his first day at Xavier’s institute. Just day’s before his sixteenth birthday. Jamie died for the second time, rather then his powers working as they should have, allowing him to kill the pain and be reborn he entered a deeper level of his mutation. He reached an Astral Plane. A place like limbo between the living and the dead. It was the first time Jamie had ever seen death in shades of gray. The loss of blood kept Jamie’s powers from working, until he received a blood transfusion from his Biological Father, Logan, who is a Professor at the Institute. In this state was also the first time he’d ever gone through a physical being. A living person. With it he started seeing things. Realizing there are different levels. Thus far Kevin Ford, is the only one who can see Jamie when he’s a phantom. Due to the time and exposure Kevin spent in the plane between life and death.
Powers in Detail: In order for Jamie to go Phantom or Ghost, he in essence has to kill his mortal body. Because he is still very much connected to it and alive, he is able to regenerate at will. Which includes body parts. To the shock of his new roommate, and acquaintances. While in this corporeal form he remains in the plane of the living. Able to move items. In this form when he goes through a living person it cause pain. Though Jamie still gets images from the connection. In Ghost form he’s not able to fly or possess others, instead he can see the dead. The second level of his power goes deeper, taking him into an Astral Plane. Much like when Kurt ‘Bamfs’ he sees the dead. Good spirits as well as the hostile ones. Along with emotions, feelings, psyches and powers. Because it is a deeper level it is harder to get in and out of. And will take training. On the Astral Plane if Jamie passes through someone he only gets what is dead, or the ghosts someone else caries with them. Prolonged connection to a body not his own awakens things, because the want of his spirit to be connected. In an astral form other mutant abilities don’t affect him.

Post by Stacy X on Feb 14, 2006 0:52:30 GMT -5
Real Name: Unknown believed to be Stacy, however hinted to be Rebecca Nueast Alias: Stacy X Code Name: Viper From: Dallas, Texas area Age: 19 Hair Colour: Black Eye Colour: Green Family: Unknown. Legal Guardians: Previously Madame Drache, then Warren Worthington III Presently Wolverine Current Training Squad: Hellions Powers: Pheromone and hormone control and Snakelike skin which she sheds on a normal basis. Fighting Ability: Stacy also has some hand-to-hand combat skills, enough to spar with Wolverine for short bouts, for about three rounds a bout. History: No one knows her true past… all they know is somewhere along the line at around the age of 12 she ran away and found herself in Texas, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. When she talks-there is no accent. How she walks says she was once from a rural town… she is shy but overwhelmingly volatile which brought her to the hooker-like personality she has now. No one knows what her past was… she has hidden it so deeply, that she doesn’t remember anything before the X-Ranch really.Alone and on the run from her past, Stacy X had nowhere to turn. With no job skills, a volatile personality, and no money to support herself, she had to take the route so many other girls in the same situation had taken to survive: prostitution. Using her mutant abilities to her benefit, Stacy walked the streets and earned her living. Eventually, Stacy was scouted by Madame Drache of the X-Ranch, a mutant brothel located in Nevada. If only to have a safe, stable place to live, Stacy agreed to go. But Stacy's safe place to live didn't stay safe for long. The congregates and leaders of the mutant hating Church of Humanity attacked the mutant brothel and burned it to the ground. The X-Men arrived, since X-man Iceman was undercover there, and rescued Stacy, but no one else survived. Stacy, having no other options, reluctantly agreed to join the X-Men and use her mutant abilities in ways she had never entertained. Stacy would have to confront the church members who so eagerly sought her demise. During one of her first missions with the X-Men, Stacy was accidentally teleported by a member of the Church to the Church's cathedral headquarters. Stacy's interrogation by the Supreme Pontiff, however, was cut short by the X-Man Archangel who arrived and rescued her before any harm could be done. While Stacy's brash personality often rubbed the team the wrong way, the X-Men couldn't deny her pivotal role in their defeat of Vanisher, the head of a drug cartel that peddled a drug granting short-term mutant abilities. Stacy used her powers to distract Vanisher for several days, allowing Archangel enough time to use his significant financial resources to shut down the cartel. Stacy's transformation from streetwalker to super hero came full circle when she played a key role in the X-Men's victory over Black Tom Cassidy. Using her mutant pheromones, Stacy stopped Cassidy from draining the X-Men's vital body fluids, which he was using to nourish himself. Despite occasional infighting with her teammates, Stacy's affiliation with the X-Men has proven to be nothing short of life affirming. Instead of using her mutant pheromones to ply an illicit trade, Stacy now makes practical use of them, allowing the X-Men to gain ground on those who would do harm. With the X-Men, Stacy walks the path to redemption after heading down a road leading straight to nowhere for so long. However much like the moody snake she is… Stacy began to feel, once more, as not fitting in and well being used. She would always be the distracter and never really fought in any true battle. This led her to leave once more for the streets, which sadly welcomed her with open arms. Upon noticing she went missing, once again, Wolverine took charge and went after her himself, stating he could make her come and he would make her stay. After days of tracking, Wolverine found her once more in Dallas, Texas whoring herself for little to no cash. A pleasant fight began before it became physical in the dusty desert outside of the main city. A quick walk in the park, suddenly turned into a long match, where it took him pinning her to the ground by his blades to make her agree to come with. However, he didn’t take her straight back-they went to a motel and talked. He wouldn’t have her leaving without him knowing why she did the last time. That was when it was decided she would follow him to the New York facility and join the New Hellions Squad. They wanted Wolverine back as a teacher, and he wanted Stacy X with him to keep an eye on her. Reluctantly she agreed and has been part of the team, without their knowledge. She practices secretly and rarely goes on missions, not until she feels she is ready once more. However, recently it came to her knowledge that another, younger than her yet with the same powers, was at the facility. Perhaps she would help young Laurie Collins in gaining control of her abilities? At 19 Stacy feels she needs some stability, but isn’t too keen on it being Xavier’s Mansion. The New mutants and Hellions amuse her, but to be honest… it isn’t her thing. She has run from Xavier’s before… will she run again? (I took some creative control to make Stacy X fit into this game as well create a new code-name for the character. These were my decisions and do not belong to marvel) [/center]

Post by Rhys Hunter on Feb 27, 2006 0:00:06 GMT -5
Name: Rhys Hunter Alias: Fox Codename: Hakan Birthplace: Grove Medical Clinic; Browning Montana Residence: Trego Indian Reservation; Browning Montana Age: 20 Hair color: Black Eye color: Hazel Height: 6’1” Weight: 175
Mutation: Pyrokinetics; Rhys is capable of generating fire from thin air, not requiring the consumption of oxygen or combustible objects to maintain the flames. Can also increase the temperature in his proximity, and endure extreme heat and fire without being harmed.
Personality: Life for Rhys was one of many difficulties. He had a reclusive lifestyle, commonplace with Native Americans living in the sparse population of Montana. Much of his family still had the stereotypical outlook on life outside of the reservation. This kind of lifestyle – and the ongoing maltreatment from white townsfolk forged a young man with a very short fuse. Although he is only twenty, his great pride in tradition and study makes him speak as though he is far older.
Family: grandfather- Jim Hunter, grandmother- Laura Hunter (deceased) father- Jacob Hunter (deceased) mother- Brigit Fagan Hunter (deceased) Brother- Takoda (deceased)
Family History: When Jacob wet overseas during his military career he met Brigit and fell in love. She moved with him back to Montana and would periodically visit her family in Belfast. It was during one of these visits that she and Jacob were killed in an IRA bombing. Jacob believed that Rhys’ mutation was due to his exposure to Agent Orange during his tour in Vietnam. He also suffered a great deal of mental trauma when miscommunications led his squadron into a village of unarmed civilians. His grandmother died in a house fire that firefighters believed originated in the kitchen. However, Rhys’ believes that the fire was his fault and guilt keeps him from inquiring confirmation of the truth due to his utmost respect for his elders. The stimuli for Rhys’ sabotage of the Blackwell farm was in reaction to his seven year old brother Takoda getting caught in a stampede. The chaos originated from the Blackwell’s thoroughbreds, but the exact means on how the animals came loose from their pen was never answered. History: Arrested for arson of the Blackwell Ranch, Rhys found himself in county lockup until Professor Xavier intervened. The Blackwell farm is adjacent the Native American reservation in which Rhys grew up. His extended family has waged and ongoing feud with the Blackwell’s regarding wandering livestock, property lines and illegal poaching. Rhys was shipped off to Xavier’s Institute for Higher Learning in accordance to a court order. His abilities as a mutant remained unknown to the public eye, although his family had been more than aware of his talents as a fire starter prior to the incident. If things went according to his grandfather’s wishes, Rhys would have had nothing to do with Xavier. His training as a pyrokinetic would have been under the tutelage of the elders of his tribe.

Post by FaYing Mishu: Geisha on Apr 16, 2006 22:44:24 GMT -5
Name: Fae-Ying Mishu Alias: Liu Dengtan Codename: Geisha Birthplace: Beijing, China Nationality: Half Chinese, Half Japanese Current Location: New York, United States of America Age: 18 Hair color: Black Eye color: Naturally Soft Blue. Currently- Clouded White Eyesight: Blinded due to childhood trauma. She uses her gift some if not alot of the time to make them appear normal to others, as well to see properly, though sometimes it fails and she is left with just blurry images, or as if she is watching your energies in whites and blues. Height: 5'4" Weight: 112 lbs Occupation: Praying Lotus, Alternative Medicine from the Orient.
Mutation: Hyponosis, Reality Distortion/Illusionist. FaeYing has the ability to mannipulate reality around her. She can create mythical or modern creatures out of think air, unlock locked doors, shut down computers, make things change appearence and form. The radius in which she can do such things depends mostly on what she attempts to do. By altering anything man made or organic she must either have contact with them depending on how much energies they give or be within a small radius of herself, about 10 feet to be exact. To manifest a creature from thin air, it can only be done in a very short area around her, the further it goes or becomes from herself the more likely it will disappear into nothing as with any distortion. The further from herself the shifting back to what it was before takes place as if nothing happened. Another small ability she picked up was the mesmire or hypnosis. When she dances with her fans she has the ability to stop others dead in their tracks if she projects it onto the persons psyche. They stand still, becoming transfixed until she either stops or lets them go from her grip. This is an ability she hardly does as she does not like to control others, feeling it a violation.
Personality: A practicing reformed Buddhist, FaeYing doesn't need the extraordinary things in life, the most simple of things suits her just fine. She is rather calm and down to earth, not taking anything to seriously without first great thought. She has a great belief that you should act towards others as you expect them to act towards your, if otherwise you would be dishonouring your great ancestors. Gentle and Kind, she never shuns away another nor ever turns her back on someone who may need her help. She always strives for perfect enlightenment and spirituality. Often she can be found in meditation or enjoying something divinely less than complex such as sitting in the Orient gardens or by the stables. She loves nature and she loves life in all, but don't let her gentle exterior fool you, though she does not like violence and tries ways to avoid it, she has great courage and would give her life for another, especially friends against someone unjust. She also loves to dance most in life, it is her passion. Even with her disability, she still finds the beauty life holds.
Family: Grandmother - Miyako Sugawa, Mother - Suzuka Sugawa (Deceased), Father - Liu-Sung Mishu (Deceased), Sister - Satsu Lin Mishu (comatose)
History: FaeYing grew up in one of the most busy places in China, Beijing. Her father was a simple small business man, while her mother was a secretary. When FaeYing was born their life could not be more complete, but with the second bundle of joy it seemed everything that they wished for had come true. A good enough career, a small house and a family worth more than gold, everything was going great. But not all great things last.
In the summer of 1989 her parents met their untimely fate. During a protest in which Mr. Mishu was part of against the Communist Party in China, Mrs Mishu brought him some preserves in order to keep well before she returned to her job. But unfortunatly she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. As a result both were slaughtered by the governemtn as part of the victims of the horrific Tiananmen Square Massacre. FaeYing was nearly only 2 years old, but she still to this day remembers that day as if it were yestarday. After the killings her Grandmother took over watch of them. All seemed fairly normal.
Life was simple as ever, a bit harder than before since the deaths. But the trio managed to keep their strengths and survive. And FaeYing learned of secrets her Grandmother kept hidden from even her son. A history she had kept locked in a chest and safe away. When FaeYing hit puberty she unlocked these secrets, thanks to her gifts. Finding out she was a Mutant was an odd experience indeed. She found the hidden chest up in the attic. Unknown to her of what was held inside, she put her fingers to the lock and wished and prayed that it may open. Suddenly a click was heard and the chest lid was pulled open. Marvelling and the beauty of what was inside, marvelous fans, silk Kimonos like you had never seen and a picture of a most bueatiful woman, of a most beautiful Geisha. Her grandmother came up to find her and found her with the items. Not angered but rather a bit alarmed at how she had gotten into the bamboo chest, she pushed it aside and shared her secret with her grand daughter, the secrets of her life as a Geisha back in Japan. Very interesed and enthralled by such tales and wonderment, her grandmother began to teach her every night on what it meant to be a Geisha. The dance, the instruments, the song. FaYing excelled most at the dancing as well as with the fans, making her grandmother rather proud. FaeYing found her passion for that art, for dance most of all. And she did it so perfectly.
Life seemed great again, and her powers were not used for some time, the family putting it aside. But soon they began to mannifest themselves uncontrollably and she was unable to stop them. Fearing the girl with the strange powers to change things, on her returning from school she and her sister were ambushed by a few who knew the secrets about her. They called her a sorcerer, a demon. The crowd tortured the FaeYing until near death. But somehow she survived the worst of it all with horrific scars, some man drawn, as well as blindness. Her sister however, though only hit over the head was not so lucky. She was put into a comatose state.
After FaeYing awoke she found out what had happened. The truth of it flooded back like horrible nightmares. And a day later her grandmother found her bed empty. She had fled, scared and ashamed of what had happened. She felt it her fault that this happened to her sister.
She hid the scars of it all, the scars they carved into her back and the symbol of banishment once used in the ancient times for demons. She would forever hold the message beneath her clothing. Heart broken at her sisters condition, she began to down spiral. When she left the hospital she left her world behind, feeling it for the best for her family. Arriving in America was not an easy task but she managed with ease thats to her gifts. Once there she found herself lured into a world she could never have imagined to be. She became the quite, sweet, girl only known as Geisha at the infamous house called the X-Ranch.
Time went on, mutants came and went and soon the girl who only said her name to be Geisha soon fled from the life of prostitution that did nothing but try to break her strong spirit. She arrived in New York City and found herself living in a grungy motel room. She works at an Ancient Orient Herbal Store that specializes in remedies and therapies. A new found peace she has tried to embed into herself, she has change just slightly from who she used to be at the X-Ranch.
Weapons FaeYing has a very unique pair of fans that she only uses in rare occasions. The fans are made of metal and sharpened at the edges, leaving them like dangerous razors. She is skilled in a form of martial arts that she perfected to incorperate the blades and found it to come in quite handy in very rough circumstances. Unfortunatly the metal is not the best quality and thus they can be rather flimsy. She is thinking about saving for a new pair, even if it means living on the streets while she works.
