The two made their way down the hall. Some kids passed them by heading to hang with their fellow students. Jay pointed at a few things and explained their importance, or just talked about some memory that had happened there. Smiling slightly Shawn took all the information in. Most of it wasn’t necessary but it was nice to know Jay was into sharing past experiences. Finally, they came to the door that led outside. The courtyard was where this dedication ceremony was going to be held. Nervous feelings swept over Shawn, he wasn’t sure how the students would react. They might think he had no purpose being there. The cool winter air met Shawn and Jay as they stepped outside. He had left his jacket inside, regretting immediately. A small fog of warm breath was visible every breath Shawn took. He could go back inside and grab it but he didn’t want to bother with it. Taking the cold he continued on after Jay. Shawn’s feet stomped the snow as he wobbled slightly. Snow wasn’t really an everyday thing back where he came from and he was far from his element. He tried to keep a straight face as he held his balance, but quickly broke into laughter.
Looking up he saw a few kids around a statue. Then his eyes landed on the kid from before. The one that clearly didn’t want him there, or that’s what his first impression gave off. Shawn didn’t want trouble again and he was rethinking coming out here. “Dude…” The kid’s body shifted. Stopping eyes locked onto him. Then he noticed the hand outstretched waiting for his. Confused for a moment Shawn kept his glance on Kevin. “Dude I’m… sorry about before. I didn’t mean to snap. I just lost a lot the past few years, it just made me tweak… and well I don’t know how to handle new people some times… Sorry man.” He was saying sorry. Surprised Shawn shook his hand. “Don’t worry about it,” Shawn’s eyes went to the angelic statue. There was more Shawn wanted to say but it just wasn’t coming to him. Words weren’t his strong point so he figured he’d leave it at that. Keeping his face straight he looked at Jay then walked over to an open spot. He didn’t want to give off that the apology made him happy. He was glad when someone owned up to their mistake and amounted for it.
He stood motionless for a while. Feeling her come up from behind him. Turning to her he smiled a soft smile, peering back at the statue. Then she spoke, "Laura." For a moment he wasn’t sure he heard her. She hadn’t talked much since they met. Continuing to gaze at the statue he heard her again. "Everyone calls me X." The ceremony was about to proceed and he didn’t want to interrupt it. Kevin had said sorry and Shawn was somewhat on better terms with him and he’d like to keep it that way. He turned slightly towards her whispering softly, “Well Laura, nice to meet you.”

The statue she had to admit was very impressive. She had not seen anything quite like it. Her head tilted a bit to the side as she observed the peice of art. But when the words from Shawn broke through her mind, her concentration turned slightly towards him. Widdened green eyes peered his way as he spoke. Her head only turning ever so slightly towards him. "Well Laura, nice to meet you." He seemed to have tried to hush his words, making them low most pressumably because the ceremony was about to start. But to X, they were spoken as if he said them clear as day right beside her.
She didn't say anything back to him, she never opened her mouth. But from anyone who knew her, they knew that her reaction was a good sign because not often did she react without a stoic expression on her face. Her lips just turned at the sides ever so slightly into a very faint and small smile. Nodding her head just a bit she turned her full attentions towards the ceremony. Awaiting for the first set of words to be spoken.
During the period she did not look towards Shawn again, nor did she even seem to have any emotional expression on her face. This wasn't just a dedication ceremony afterall, this was alot a way to say your final goods byes to Brian and to David. She wondered a moment if anyone even told him why they were gathered there, that the two they were talking about were killed in the line of duty. If they didn't, she wouldn't blame him for being a bit out of the loop feeling. X herself felt that way a bit. She wasn't here for Brian, she wasn't here for David, after all she didn't really know the two. She met them a few times, trained a bit with Brian who had an odd gift, but to say she knew them would be a lie.
The last time she lost someone she cared about was a very long time ago, and she felt how horrible it was. She could only imagine what the others were feeling. There was a salty smell in the air. It stung her sense just slightly. If you asked her how she felt, she probably wouldn't answer you a way you had wanted to hear. It wasn't that she didn't feel bad for their loss, of course she did a bit, but Death to her, it was life. It was normal and nothing at all out of the ordinary or something to become weak and cry about. It was so..systematic. Silently she stood there, without a shred of emotion, just watching silently as if nothing affected her what so ever. Hide away though, that was always the best line of protection. Just Hide.

Eyes rolled slightly as he listened to the conversations of the students around him. He couldn't really blame them, and he wasn't a big social person himself, especially with the fact he didn't put himself out there. He was the adult, he was supposed to be the teacher not their friend. Of course it didn't always work that way. Everyone had to develop a relationship with Wolverine in their own way. Shifting his weight he paced down the hall until another voice stopped him. The gruff man turned as a gift was shoved into his hands and the student stormed off. Silently he grumbled to himself looking at the gift from Stacy. She was under his guardianship, on occasion they had their good moments. "Yeah, Bah humbug..." he muttered under his breath.
There was plenty on his mind, with things changing around the mansion. Why should he have expected that the Institute would ever slow down, it hadn't when he was there as a member of the X-Men. It wasn't any different now just a new generation. There were only a handful of those close to him he actually got a gift for, the students all got the same thing from him. No Danger Room exercises until the new year. Pacing down the hallway he watched from the background of Kevin's dedication to Brian and David, the two students they'd lost. Deep down he still felt guilty for it. They weren't ready. It should have just been him. Pushing away from the wall he headed back to his office. When he heard Jean's response. More new requites. .oO( I have a feeling it's not going to be a quite new year.)Oo.
He placed the gift from Stacy down on his desk and looked over everything on it and the computer. Fingers worked against his temples in frustration then pulled into his dark slightly spiked hair. The next big disaster was Illyana Rasputian. From what he'd always understand from Piotr, she was thought to be dead. Logan was weary about it. But he didn't want Jean to leave with out talking to her first. He headed down to the secured bay where the Blackbird hanger was. "Jean?" Hiss of the doors closed behind him as boots shuffled across the floor, she was in here he could smell her. Stepping up closer to the jet he started up the ramp and inside, finding her programing the consoles. Arm rested against the back of the chair. "You sure you don't want to take anyone with you? Be careful...so much for a quiet holiday, huh. And, Piotr's sister has just appeared out of thin air." Clearing his throat slightly he straightened. With an underlying hint of annoyance in his voice. He shifted once more looking over at Jean then started towards the exit of the black bird. "I'll see you when you get back."

. o O (So, what’s going on?) O o . . o O (I’m on my way to Montana to pick up a wayward mutant. Can you hold down the fort while I’m away? – If he’s not busy, I will bring Bobby along with me. He has an excellent repertoire with the new students. O o . Hands ran through her long thick hair, bunching it up and away from her face as she twisted it up with a silver comb. Resignedly Jean entered the bathroom and turned on the shower. A slender hand reached out, testing the water before she stripped herself of pajamas and stepped under the stream. Searing water pounded against her back, stirring stiff muscles to awaken. Hands worked shampoo and conditioner through heavy blood-red locks.
Eyes closed as her head bowed forward and under the stream; her hand pressing against the cool tiles for support. She loved him. That much was hard to deny. But she wondered if the feeling was mutual. At first Jean believed that it was, but upon seeing Heather Hudson she wasn’t sure. Maybe he only lusted over her because there wasn’t a chance for commitment. Now that Scott was no longer an issue, Jean wondered if Logan’s interest was on the verge of abandonment. Pushing the thoughts away Jean reigned in her emotions and shifted her position to let the water run over her forehead. Lips were pulled against her tongue and teeth, hands rubbed emotion away from her eyes and she shut off the rivulet. After dressing in casual clothes; a red sweater, grey skirt and low heels, she exited, pulling her hair back as she descended the stairs.
With an apologetic wrinkle of her forehead and a small pursing of her lips, Jean knocked on Bobby Drake’s door, waiting for him to greet her. “Hi Bobby. I’m sorry to ask this of you during the holiday but I have to depart for Montana to go pick up a new student and I wanted to know if you could assist me? It’s ok if you’d rather stay here; just let me know soon. I’ll be in the hangar.” She smiled lightly and departed, working her way to the elevator to the sub basement. Before long the redheaded physician was prepping the controls of the jet. She turned to the graveled voice at the steps. “Hopefully I won’t have to. I asked Bobby to come with me. I didn’t think it would be appropriate for both of the headmasters to disappear. Besides, with Heather here and your son …I’m sure you want to catch up.” Jean swallowed back the feelings she had regarding the topic; her eyes darting away as she adjusted the controls.

Eyeing a few students making there way outside he sat his gifts down for the moment and followed them curiously out into the courtyard. One of the students was dedicating a statue and once he read the plaque he realized why. It seemed that they had lost a few friend's before he had arrived. It was something that he had never gotten used to but he always put on a good face when the topic was brought up. He had lost loved ones in his life and even though he knew that in this world life and death wasn't as simple as one would imagine it still hurt like hell to deal with. He had made his way back inside and after grabbing his gifts he moved back upstairs to his room to set down the presents he had received. If he was still the young showboat he would have grabbed the snowboard and had already been outside on a personally made half pipe. Hell he might do that anyway, he still had a few tricks he had yet to master. He was placing the gifts in his wardrobe closet when he heard a knock on his door. Turning he smiled looking upon the crimson haired beauty.
"Hey Jeany... Merry Christmas! Thanks for the lodge passes. I hope you liked your gift, I was leaning towards a[glow=red,2,300]"one eyed"[/glow]voodoo doll but I though that would be too much."
“Hi Bobby. I’m sorry to ask this of you during the holiday but I have to depart for Montana to go pick up a new student and I wanted to know if you could assist me? It’s ok if you’d rather stay here; just let me know soon. I’ll be in the hangar.”
She left before he could reply and he hoped his comment was taken in jest. He knew the subject of her and Scott was a sensitive issue but he had a tendency to talk first and take his foot out of his mouth later. He had no reason to decline the offer, it wasn't as if he had anything better to do. Plus it would give them some time to catch up on what he had missed while he was away. He was the yougest of the original five and in alot of ways he could consider her an older sibling although for the sake of his male libido he tried not too. He would be a fool not to notice that she was way too hot for words but he also knew that her eyes were afixed to a certain canukle head who he would add just for joking purposes was probably like ten times her senior. Chicks always go for the old guys, he thought to himself with a smirk as he changed. He was so gonna call her out on that when they got some alone time.
Slipping into a pair of cargo slacks and white t-shirt covered by a button up he took out the chain that he had recieved from Stacy and combined it with the pendant he got from Sofia. He hoped they didn't mind him combining the gifts but the peices went together quite perfectly. Maybe he could pick up some extra gifts while he was in Montana with Jean. The extra cash he made during the summer doing accounting work for Warren at Worthington Industries was sure coming in handy. Now that he had gotten to know some of the kids he figured it would be nice to give them something cool, perhaps for the New Year. And if anyone knew cool it was him. Speaking of the students he had wondered about Nori whom he hadn't seen since the first few days he had arrived. The school was large so it wasn't a suprise that he hadn't seen her while making his way around the grounds but he made a note to find her when he returned.
Once he had packed a small carry-on bag since he wasn't sure how long they would be he made his way downstairs and to the elevator that carried him down to the sub-basement of the mansion. From there he made his way to the hangar making note of the few changes that had been made since the last reconstrution. Moving into the hangar he noticed Logan at the steps of the Blackbird. "So Logan, you riding shotgun or did you come to see me off." He could feel that there was a bit of tension in the air and what better way to ease it than a bit of light sarcasm.

The ceremony didn’t last long but as soon as it was over he looked towards everyone and sighed. “Alright guys… I’m out.” Eyes shot to Laura, how he wanted alone time with her… to explain everything he could to answer every question for her. But it wouldn’t happen… she was exploring on her own…
He turned to Cess. “Well g’night…” eyed the rest of them as well… “I have something called sleep to catch up on I suppose.” He knew as well as everyone else that he wouldn’t be getting any sleep. He had things on his mind… hell holiday season normally meant about four to seven hours a sleep a week, something his body was sadly coming accustomed to.
Eyes flashed around. He saw Rogue, Laura, Shawn, Jay, Stacy from the ‘normal’ group… and a few from around school. He shrugged it off slightly before feeling his gloved hand snap at his neck. After months of healing, the bites from that crazy spider lady still hurt-they should have healed by now, it was organic fucking material… “Fucking hell…” he whispered under his breath before running towards the dorms. He didn’t want anyone to see his right arm spasming from the pain that floats there.
Unknown to Kevin, the bite was almost permanent with a normal healing factor… he would feel it for a long time, at least a few months… and well it still was a few months. However at the rate he slept, it would take twice as long, and he would feel it too. Something inside of him, said she would be back-and it made his skin crawl.
Just as he rounded the corner, his head shot back once more to look at X. They had been so close in the beginning… what happened? He turned and stepped inside and up the stairs to his room that waited for him.

For most of the ceremony in honor of Brian and David, Jamie was silent. What could he have said? He didn't even hardly know them. Not even in the same place when they died. It had been felt in different ways. Jamie tried to say that everything that happened didn't bother him. Death was part of life. There in the back of his mind it was, the darkness from that man, that mutant, that monster. Form shifted as Kevin started to move at the end of it. He'd caught a glimpse of Logan. Trying not to focus hard, not accept that what had been over heard was truth.
"Hey man, you gonna be alright?" Maybe his roommate was just over tired and over stressed, but something about him looked really worn out. Hand patted him across the back as he started to head away to the room. "We'll feel better man. Hey maybe after you sleep we can go snowboarding or something, eh?" Kevin only seemed to bob his head. Dark haired boy hoped he'd get some much needed rest. It couldn't have been easy around this time of year in a place like this. There was reason why Christmas was the holder of the highest suicide rates year round. Head shook. Not that he'd really wanted to think about it. Sometimes thoughts just happen.
Shoulders dropped with a slight sigh. Maybe it was time he actually saw his mother. Young mutant had been avoiding her since she came in. It was his own mother. What hurt more was that she didn't trust him enough to tell him the truth. Even when he'd been dropped of at the Institute. When she well knew what he might , rather who he might run into. Form paced as he offered a small goodbye to his friends and headed to the room his mother was staying. Swallowing, Jamie raised his fist and knocked on the door. Wooden door pulled open reveling a mother worried face before a faint smile over took it.

Shawn stood there during the ceremony listening to the words mentioned about the two fallen members. His eyes slowly gazed around the crowd of people. Most were caught up in the moment their eyes locked on the statue. Probably remembering the two digging up memories to fulfill the moment of silence. Shawn looked up and the statue as if to search for thoughts. He hadn’t known the two but they must have meant something to Kevin. Dark blue eyes fell back to the snow covered earth. Breathing in deeply his lungs filled with the crisp air. Remembering fallen friends was difficult. He didn’t know the two but the people here did and he felt bad about their loss. Words could be said but they wouldn’t mean anything real. I’m sorry could only heal so much until it becomes a repetitive reminder of what was lost. Tightening his jaw he let his eye’s scan the surrounding people again. They were family here and in time maybe he’d be accepted.
The ceremony wasn’t a long one. Few people spoke during the duration of the process. Kevin announced his departure and soon others began to depart back to the school. Back to the happy Christmas that was inside under the tree in the living room. Squinting eyes looked back up at the towering statue its wings outstretched as if it wanted to take flight. After a slight moment he turned and walked toward the school. The cool winds outside were taking to him now. His mere t-shirt wasn’t cutting it for warmth. With every exhale a small fog of warmth escaped his lips. He might as well go in and find somewhere to sit until his room was shown to him. Gripping the handle to the door he let himself inside making his way down the hall. He could hear the sound of footsteps coming up from behind him. Turning he was met with a group of girls running past him giggling. Shaking his head he continued walking towards wherever his feet were leading him.

So Logan, you riding shotgun or did you come to see me off?" "Logan was just leaving." Her words were monotone, hinting that she was upset about something in their flatness. Jean turned in the seat to settle her eyes upon Bobby Drake, her features shifting from emotionless and factual to warmth and masked tension. There were times when she could just hug Iceman for his timing. Last thing Jean wanted to deal with was an awkward conversation regarding herself the Wolverine. She could almost hear the words in his mind, despite her conscious effort not to pry. Dexterous digits flipped a few more toggles and switches, and the engines fired up. "We won't be long I'll radio you if we run into problems," she offered, looking to Wolverine with a quick darting glance.
~
It didn’t take them long to travel the distance, the flight from New York to Montana cut virtually in half with the technology that Xavier had poured into the Blackbird. As they neared the clear flat land Jean had plotted on the GPS, she accessed the jet's stealth mode, camouflaging the entire jet so that it blended in with its surroundings with the perfection of a chameleon. The engines, though running on silent, were still audible to some degree, and as she cut them off, she turned in her seat, looking over to Bobby. "And here I thought I was going to have to relearn all of the flight parameters. I hope I wasn't too unforgiving, I know Scott always used to say my version of smooth flight was about as comforting as the way I handled the Fiat. And I'm sure you remember my track record for speeding tickets."
Fingers worked against the restraints, freeing her from the dual set of belts. "You'll have to excuse the small hike we'll have to take; there really wasn’t anywhere else we could have landed without ….complications." Bu complications Jean referred to a number of things. Mainly the way the general pubic would have viewed the sight of the Blackbird. This wasn’t a densely populated area, but Jean respected the reservations and the people that lived there and the last thing she would have wanted was to disturb their way of life.
Thirty minutes later, the pair were entering the small town of Browning Montana. It wasn’t exactly what Dr. Grey would have called backwater, but there was a rustic charm to everything that made the area seem surreal, almost forgotten in the annals of time. Nearing the town hall, Jean watched as the locals scurried to and fro, her eyes pinpointing the police station. After signing in at the font desk, Jean made her introductions. "Good afternoon, I'm Dr. Jean Grey, this is my associate Robert Drake. I understand you have a boy in your custody that I am to take into my care?"

Sofia smiled, he had liked the gift. She lost herself in talking about plans for New Year’s, and for once the young woman felt a little easier then she had since she came here. At first she had felt awkward, shy and even scared. Then when the things had happened with Ms. Rogue, and two people she knew, one a friend and teammate dying, Wind Dancer wondered what she had gotten herself into… and had even entertain the thought of leaving, trying to blend in and forget what she was. In the end she thought better of it, she had a sense of identity here. She had purpose. Taking a sip of the apple cider, the brown haired beauty smiled and laughed, the prospects of the coming new year looming with greatness, maybe she would make a few resolutions to better herself… maybe even talking to Father if he’d speak to her.
Before long the crowd began to fade, students going their separate ways as the day wore to its close. In her room, Sofia tugged on a large fluffy coat and then proceeded out of the mansion and into Salem Center, the small hints of the day still ever present in twinkling multi-colored lights and Christmas wreaths. Soon the teen came to her destination, a church. At the large doors of the gothic styled house of worship, Sofia hesitated for a moment… it had been so long since she had stepped inside a house of God, would she be burned for being a mutant and entering such a holy space? Nervously her hand reached for the door, a sigh escaping her lips as nothing happened when she pulled it open and stepped inside.
Letting the door shut quietly behind her, Sofia made her way towards the roll of candles at the side of the pews and lit two, one for her old family and the other for her new one, all those alive or dead she had come to know at Xavier’s. Saying a small prayer, the young woman moved and sat down on a bench near the middle of the church and let herself soak in the religious depictions on the stain glass windows. Slowly a strange sense of peace entered her heart… she had found a place to belong, and a person to be.

Everyone else had slowly migrated back inside the mansion, but Rogue had stayed put unmoving in the snow as they walked passed her, some wishing her a Merry Christmas, but most not even noticing she was there. Once upon a time being ignored would have bothered her, made her angry and hurt, but not today. Today she wanted just that, to be in the world without being in it… it gave a person a chance to think better and let things sink in. And at the moment, she had a lot on her mind to do that with.
So much had happened, and because of it she felt different… as if somehow someone had given her a second chance, not that she particularly thought she deserved it. And despite the peace she was coming to find within herself, the woman still felt that there was still not a lot of hope. She had given up on hope anyways, what had it ever done for her? Not a damn thing… well, until recently. Maybe she just needed to fine tune her change of mind a little bit better. Maybe she needed to admit some things that in the past wild horses couldn’t drag from her… she had a lot of maybes to work out.
In fact her whole life was built on maybes. Some of them had turned into good things, while others still hang there in the balance of it all. The world she had come to know was changing, and for some reason she knew it, she felt it. Question was… how much would she be willing to change with it? That, Rogue wasn’t sure of… after all it’s hard to teach and old dog new tricks.
Slowly her eyes lifted from staring at the pristine snow and fell on the statue her young new found friend had made. She found it both strange and enlightening, it spoke to her, but it also made her feel guilty. If she hadn’t have been so careless that morning… those two kids would still be here. Closing her emerald stare, the Southern Belle moved forward in the snow, as she did she removed a glove from her hand and slowly placed it on the metal working before her, “Ah’m sorry.” She spoke the words in a barely there whisper, her eyes drifting skyward as the Blackbird flew over head… and her guilt lessened a little, because in a way she realized she was being selfish, other people had problems too and some of them were worse than hers.
Slipping her glove back on, Rogue zipped the jacket up and headed down one of the many walking paths that mapped over the Estate’s grounds. She was tired of sulking and feeling sorry for herself, and so perhaps a walk would help lift the depressed mentality she was currently sporting, after all it was beginning to snow again and she had always loved snow, because like her it was beautiful, deadly and fragile.

He quirked a brow as Jean quickly spoke up making it known the Logan wouldn't be accompanying them. The tension was thicker than one of his ice walls and for the time being he felt the need to simply stay silent before he drowned in it. He made his way to the co-pilot side of the cockpit and took a seat fashioning his seatbelt. A few moments later the jet took off catching him by suprise as it had been awhile since he had flown in the plane.
The trip was suprisingly short and it had grown obvious that the professor had made some improvements since his last trip. "Hey, you fly this thing way better than I used to. Scott used to warn passengers before they rode with me piloting. One of these days I wanna borrow this baby and take her to the Medditereanean. Me and a beach full of scantily clad women.... need I say more." he smirked as he was so expecting a scowl from the crimson haired beauty. The landing was just as relatively smooth as the flight was and with the cloaking technology the Blackbird possesed they wouldn't have to worry about anyone knowing of there presence unless someone was walking and happened to walk into it.
"You'll have to excuse the small hike we'll have to take; there really wasn’t anywhere else we could have landed without ….complications."
He chuckled. "I'm good with that, last thing we need right now is complications?" He said such in a joking manner but he was dead serious. The last thing they needed was to alert everyone in the state that a military style aircraft was parked in there backyard. Talk about your backwoods towns. Browning, Montana. Snow capped trees overlooking the mountains it was something out of one of those novels he never had the patience to read. Nonetheless he had never heard of the place and he doubted that he would have ever if not for this mission.
He followed Jean into town eyeing the rusticness of the place. They approached town hall and he watched as the towns folk went about there business some taking the time to glance at the strangers others just ignoring them as if they to were cloaked. As they stepped up to the police station he spoke to himself although he knew that Jean could hear him. "I swear if we meet someone named Opie, Barney or Gomer and I'm gonna crack a rib laughing so hard." Once they had signed in and Jean made introductions he nodded to the deputy at the front desk trying to keep in his laughter as his badge had the word Griffith engraved on it.

Cessily needed this, she needed this a lot, and she would never say it out loud but it was plain and obvious. Ever since Brian and David were killed she had become nothing but reclusive. And on the occasion when she was not she seemed bitter angry and very messed up. She pulled the jacket a bit closer to her body as she watched Kevin with her pupiless silver eyes. She watched him move from the statue and towards some new comers that new guy and X. She watched him say some words towards the new guy and then he returned only for the ceremony to commence.
Cess kept herself a bit distanced from every one else but also closer to the statue than most. She saw the crowd beginning to come about, quite a few were gathering around, Santo took a stand right beside her. He was taking it pretty hard to, Brian was his best friend and from she could see when you lost a best friend it was like loosing a bit of yourself. Santo had changed a lot, and somehow she wondered if he would make it through it all, if he would tough it out. The big guy was hurting and it didn’t take an idiot to realize it.
Turning her eyes back to the statue as the ceremony began, the dedicated words, the phrases, it all begin to cause something within her to shift and well. She felt it finally come, tears began to run down her silver cheeks. Finally a deep burden was lifted off her shoulders, she was now able to say good bye. Cess slowly wrapped her arm around Santos and hugged his big limb. His own hand in turn rested onto her back. At one point, especially when they were talking about Brian she couldn’t help herself. She dug her face into Santos arm to hide away, to try and hide the fact she was crying so much. It was hard, like loosing a brother, it was the hardest thing she had ever had to do. It wasn’t fair that she was here and he wasn’t, that she got to grow up but he’d stay a lifeless child forever, that his life was stolen.
Finally the crowd began to disperse, Kevin left first and then others soon followed. Cess though she let Santo go and stayed behind. When everyone was out of the area she took a deep breath that was cool on her lips and lungs and moved to the statue. Staring up at it again her hand moved out. Arm began to stretch to allow her fingers to touch the gentle cheeks of the statue “Sorry Brian. I should have been a better friend, I should have been there. I’m sorry I let you down, I’ll miss you so much. You too David, Mr. Know it all” she gave a gentle chuckle at that before slowly slinking down and sitting at the base of the statue. There was nothing left to do today, she was a bit exhausted, even if a small weight was gone. Instead she just sat there, her arms slowly bending and allowing hands to cover her face. So very tired.
