~Thank you Jean, I'll take care of it.~ he thought as he went from the hall to the kitchen. Being as silent as he could he manuvered around the people in the kitchen. Pausing for a moment to look at the cookies he almost burnt out laughing. For someone who could run the school, throw things with her mind and read thoughts...she couldn't even bake cookies.. Someone began to talk to him, but he quickly lifted his finger to his lips, hushing them. In one swift movement he bent down, opened the cabinet and grabbed dash by the back of his shirt, lifting off the ground Piotr looked at him. "It is time for the children to go to sleep." he said with a smile as he carried dash off to his room. "so your colossus?" dash asked as Piotr carried him with one hand. "Yes. That would be me." "Why do the kids have to go to sleep before all the older students, and teachers." he asked again, a puzzled look on his face. "Well...."Piotr thought for a long moment. "Its christmas eve, and santa should be comming tonight." he smiled, content with his reply. "He never brings me what i want anyway...." dash said. "I know what you mean.....but all we can do is hope, and be happy we are with our friends." He put dash down and the child went into his room. Poitr silently closed the door and began to walk towards the kitchen once again. He thought about going to the Danger room to relax....After all he did have the permission from the professor to use it for his own combat reasons. Stepping into the elevator he went to the sub-basement level 2. He went into the control room and opened a scenerio he designed with the help of Nightcrawler. Technically it was aganist the rules to do this, but he had done it while the professor was there before and heard no complaints. Setting a thirty minute timer on the scenerio to start in five minutes Piotr went in to the actual Danger Room and entered armor form. ----------------------------------------------------------- DANGER ROOM SEQUENCE: POTC beginning in. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. As the computer finished its countdown Piotr was standing on the deck on an old sailing ship looking over the blue ocean. There wasn't a cloud in the sky, and for a moment he switched into human form, just to feel the warm wind on his face. There were drones all around him dressed in old style clothing, they were not the objective however. This was technically a protection mission. In the distance another ship began to approach. A black flag with a skull and crossbones hung as its banner. "Pirates." Piotr said with a smile, he turned when one of the drones on his ship screamed, another pirate ship was commin gfrom the other direction. "Kurt has been busy." he said with a slight laugh as he entered armored form, preparing for his training aganist...pirates. For a moment he felt bad for using the danger room for such reasons, but then again. This was relaxing, and technically it was training.

Sofia was more passive then aggressive, more soft spoken than tempered, but a temper she did have when she was worried. Call her a den mother, call her nosey she really didn’t care. Maybe at the moment her demeanor was situated where it was because of the new pressure that was now upon her…. pressure that would surely crack her in the end. Maybe she was placing it all on her shoulders for no reason, maybe she was just trying to hard to be a leader… but that was neither here nor there at the moment was it?
Shaking her head slowly in embarrassment, Wind Dancer lowered her arms slowly and gave a very discreet and silent sigh, brown eyes looking to the floor for a moment as she regained a better composure of herself and looked towards Penance who seemed somehow threatened by her once agitated stance, “ I’m sorry.” She whispered to the strange mutant before turning to follow Cessily out of the room, giving a quick glance over her shoulder to see if the red woman would follow or not… for some reason Sofia hoped not because it was obvious she was disliked by the strange mutant.
“Maybe we should try the boys’ dorm wing?” Sofia offered in suggestion wondering why Cess was acting more worried then even Ms. Frost would be. Giving a small huff as Cess took off in direction of the kitchen, Sofia slowly shook her head and lifted herself from the ground with a small spurt of wind and tailed after the silver skinned girl, “Of course she doesn’t listen…” The teen quipped quietly with a roll of her brown eyes as she entered the kitchen just behind her, doing her best to keep the swinging door from knocking her backwards. Standing just behind Cessily, Sofia found herself slightly amused by the girl’s sudden take charge attitude as she again tried her suggestion at the lack of response, “ Boys’ dorm wing?”

For a moment she was all alone in the large kitchen on the main level where Jean had burnt some of her cookies. Such a notion made Rogue smile a little, for once there was something she could do somewhat better then the redhead, make unburned cookies. She knew Jean wouldn’t live this down and the southerner was going to be part of the party making sure she didn’t.
Soon her moment alone was shattered as kids; teens and younger strolled in and began to nab what unburned cookies they could. Some took cookies and left, others stuck around and mingled a little, including Rockslide who slightly reminded her of the Thing, “Easy there hun, leave some cookies for Santa.” She commented as he seemed to be eating the things by the tray load burned and not burned. He glanced up, smiled sheepishly at her, grabbed two more and tried to eat them a bit slower… two seconds later however he was back to shoving at least ten at a time in his mouth to which Rogue just shook her head and laughed. It felt good to laugh.
Suddenly Sofia and Cessily burst into the kitchen… or rather Cessily for the most part as Rogue looked up from staring into her mug of cocoa with a curious stare as the red-haired teen asked about Kevin’s whereabouts. For a brief second Rogue felt a stab of worry shoot through her, had he ran off again? Or maybe he just went off somewhere to be along, yes that was it, had to be, “ Maybe he’s off bein’ alone somewhere gal.” She said aloud more for her to believe it than a suggestion to Cessily about where the boy could be, “ Or maybe ya could try yer friend’s idea hm?” She spoke up on hearing Sofia mention the boys’ dorm just as Piotr entered the kitchen behind the girls and made a motion for everyone to be quiet.
Rogue was doing her best not to laugh as Petey searched around for the young speed-demon called Dash, but once the slightly annoyed youngster was discovered and apprehended Rogue did let out a chuckle and wished the little one a good night as Pete carried him out the door. Slowly most of the others soon followed Pete out of the kitchen and left her basically alone again. Green eyes lifted towards the amusing cat clock hanging on the wall of the kitchen with it’s swinging tail, “ Hm. Looks like ah git ta make final rounds tanight.” The belle thought aloud as she lifted her mug to her lips and took a long drink of the chocolate liquid. As she continued to drink off and on at the now warm cocoa, she found her thoughts going deeper… into what the lower levels of the mansion held right now and the fact she had been honestly avoiding going down there and maybe it was time she did.

Poitr lept from the ship he was on to one of the "pirate ships" he was swarmed, however this simulation wasn't for fight training. Its original design was so Kurt and him could play out Kurts fantasy about sea battles and pirates. The simulation ended with Poirt taking down both ships. As the reality in which he stood melted away, he now stood in the center of an empty danger room, looking down at the ground. He walked over to a consol on the wall and began typing in one he designed with permission just for himself. A new reality began to take shape around him. He walked out towards the center of the room as this new reality became whole. He stood infront of a house, exactly like the one he had grown up in in Russia. approx. fifty yards away there was a colossal lake, covered in thick ice. He remembered when he had designed this program with the professor, it was usually used to pratice battles aganist Omega Red and others, however Piotr disabled the drones for this one, with the exception of one, a friendly one. He walked out a bit in the snow and looked over the lake, thoughts filling his mind, but he shoved them down. He knew Illyana was dead, nothing could change that.
"Piotr? Come inside." a young females voice called from the porch.
Piotr turned and looked, seeing his little sister, his little snowflake. He knew she was fake, he knew soon the program would shut down and he would be left alone once again. He slowly walked over to the re-creation of his younger sister, placing a hand on her cheek. "I'm so sorry my little snowflake......" He embraced her in a loving hug and sat in a chair on the porch, the sim of his sister sitting next to him. This was why he loved the danger room. He could use it for training, fighting and learning. Also he could use it to finally feel at peace with himself for being unable to save Illyana in the past. However this program also always caused him pain, he knew it wasn't really his sister but it was christmas eve. Every christmas since that day had been hell. He knew this would b the closest he would get to being with her.

The mansion seemed to be alive with holiday cheer or atleast it seemed that way. Normally he would share the sentiment of this time of year but he was far from the brash, ignorant young man that he once was. One would only assume that he of all people would embrace Christmas and normally this would be the case. He loved the holiday but it was difficult for him to keep his mind focused on it. He had heard about what had transpired recently with the group and knew that all of the festivies associated would be a good way to keep thier minds off everything. He was sure that the students would appreciate the break, being able to spend a few days like normal kids, dressing the tree, opening presents, laughing and playing games. He remembered what it felt like to be able to go about without a care. Or atleast like he would now, put on a good face and pretend. They were all his family but it was hard for him not to place his thoughts on his own family. He wondered what they were doing right now and felt bad not sharing this time with them, mainly his father. In the past year they had gone through the full spectrum of emotions and he wondered exactly where they stood now. He knew that of course the man would put on a good face for Christmas but what about otherwise.
Pushing his selfish thoughts to the back burner he left his room and after placing the gifts that he had brought back with him under the tree he rejoined the others still content to blend in and not really wanting to come across as an authority figure just yet. It made him feel much better to hide his feelings behind a feet or two of formed snow. He started his day among the morning snowfall blending in with his surroundings having dressed himself up as a snowman with button eyes and carrot nose, even a top hat to finish the look. He scared a few of the younger students as they thought he was an actual snowman until he raised up and spoke. "Lovely weather were having today." Next was the what seemed to be annual snow ball fight which ofcourse he tended to dominate until the others decided to bend the no power rule aswell. He smirked as a curiously fast snowball smacked him on the side of the face and turned to notice the wink from Sofia. He was prepared to retaliate but one of the younger students beat him to it. It felt good to laugh he thought as his vision noticed the car approaching in the distance. The fun halted as the students seemed to flock to the approaching car and stood back not really concerned and decided to head back in while everyone else wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Stepping back into the mansion he allowed the excess snow to fall off his body and decided it was time for him to confront the issue that was bothering since he had returned to the mansion.
Rogue and Piotr had returned for the holidays as well and he decided that instead of welcoming them back he had some business to take care of first. Finding a quiet area with a phone he picked it up and dialed out. .""Mom, it's Bobby. Merry Christmas..." His mother seemed pleased to hear from him but quickly made mention that his father was taking a nap and his brother was out playing with friends. Somewhat dissappointed he continued to speak to his mother explaining to her that his trip went smoothly and things were going well enough. "I love you, mom. Bye." he hung up the phone feeling a bit worse then when he started but atleast he got to speak to his mother he thought optimistically. He decided to head back to his room and relax for a bit and couldn't help but notice the few conversations that some of the students were haveing. It seemed as though not everyone was comfortable to just push the recent events that had taken place to the back of thier mind. Maybe he was being too selfish with dwelling on his own problems he thought but was it really wrong for him to wish that this day would be over sooner rather than later. He didn't find himself in the best of holiday moods even though he was covering it as well as anyone.

Post by Logan: Weapon X: Wolverine on Feb 18, 2006 19:02:18 GMT -5
Some Christmas holiday this was turning out to be, if you asked him he would have grumbled. Things hadn’t gone over well at all, not with Heather and himself, not with James. And defiantly not with Jean. There was plenty on his plate, after the outburst from most of the younger students about Christmas, singing and merriment making Wolverine slipped out. It wasn’t his place to smooth things over with Jamie, it was something Heather needed to do, something she’d expressed to him. Logan saw it in the kids eyes, he needed space. Straddling the motorcycle he started the bike up. Engine rumbled as he headed out.
Drinking in the school was against the rules, not that he often followed them. Wind whipped through his dark hair as he drove. Pulling up to a hole in the wall biker bar, it was out of the way, and closer than going into the city. Boots crunched snow as he headed towards the door pushing inside, maybe just one drink. Saddling up to the bar he sat arms resting atop the counter. Head nodded for the attention of the tender. “One.” When the bar tender came back with the beer he leaned forward looking at Logan. Studying him, as most tenders try to do, figure out what the problem is seeing if they wanted to talk. Logan’s eyes shot back up at the man with a slight scowl playing upon his lips. Taking the beer slowly gave him time to think about everything on his mind.
After the holidays some of the selected students would be transferred to the Salem Center with Scott and Emma. The remaining students would stay there, the teams being dissolved, to form one group. Much like the X-Men of the past. Like the team he’d once been a part of. Thoughts went back to Jean, the way she tried to ignore him, their relationship was on the rocks again. The appearance of Heather and revelation of the secret she already knew didn’t help. In fact it seemed to worsen them. Finishing the rest of his beer, Wolverine decided it was time to head back, after all it was Christmas Eve, and sulking wasn’t really him. All of the younger students were asleep for the night, while the older ones, mostly those of either the Hellions or the New Mutants were still up. The air of burnt cookies still clung to the kitchen as he moved towards it spotting Rogue. “I know that look.”

“Sorry, Kevin.” James jr, watched as his roommate exited and his eyes turned up towards X. It was a lot to deal with, and not the Christmas he was expecting to have. The appearance of his mother had been a treat but what she brought with her, the truth about him, about Professor Logan. Jamie looked away again. X remained silent just watching him. Did she understand what it was like? She didn’t know the truth about herself until she was older. So the pair remained silent between them.
Unlike X, Jamie couldn’t really hear the goings on upstairs. When she turned back to look at him commenting about the Danger Room his head shook. In away she was right, maybe what he needed most was some decent sleep. The problem was he wasn’t tired in the least. It didn’t take long before Jamie found himself alone once again. Shoulders rolled forwards with his sigh, maybe he should go up and face everything. Exiting the locker room he stopped a blonde woman was walking down the hallway. Swallowing he stepped out to follow her. She was like his visions of Sarah from X, but he couldn’t figure out why he was seeing her. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that she had a purpose. Form stopped in front of a door he’d never paid attention to, yet something felt very familiar about it. Allowing himself to become a phantom once more he entered the secured room.
It was dark and the sounds of machines filled the room. One with beeps and tones, the other almost like breathing. Coming out of the phantom form he moved closer, seeing the dim glow of the machines lighting the face of a man. Brow quirked as he studied closer, the blonde woman he’d seen was gone, but there was something from the man. Hand moved closer it seemed as if he was in a coma, when he finally touched the man he pulled away. Ghostly images of the X-Men, some fight and Rogue connected to him. Jamie drew back even further when the IV in the man’s arm started to glow. Then without warning it exploded setting of a chain reaction, and the machines going into overdrive of something being wrong.
Jamie ghosted and ran back out into the hallway, his form rebuilding with each stride further away from the room. It wasn’t his fault at least he didn’t think it was. Not paying attention to where he was going, he didn’t have time to realize that the door of the Danger Room was opening, and a figure was stepping out. The young boy hit solid man and sprawled backwards onto the ground of the hallway. Eyes that were a lot like Logan’s opened wide as he looked up to the towering form of someone he didn’t know. Voice came out as if he’d been accused of something, then quickly questioned. “It wasn’t my fault! Where’s Dr. Grey?”

The tick-tock sound of the clock was growing steadily high on her nerves. Twice she had tried to get herself to leave, but she just couldn’t bring herself to do it, to go, well there. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it…. She knew she wouldn’t be able to deal with seeing him like that again, she knew it would make her run and this time she wasn’t sure if she’d come back and she was tired of running.
Minutes went by, the mug between her hands was cold now and silently she pushed it aside then willed her body to stand so she could make final rounds being the last one still up, or so she thought. Snatching the mug from the table-top, Rogue proceeded to the sink and washed it out. Once the task was done she turned and moved towards the door to exit, she was tired and full of hope that tonight she might end up with more then two hours of sleep.
When she was between the table and the door he entered. Instantly she knew he’d been out and most likely at Harry’s, but it wasn’t her business, all she wanted to do was go to her room when his statement stopped her dead in his tracks, “ Whut look?” Her Mississippi accent questioned coolly, but then she noted his demeanor and quickly added onto her original question, “ Might that be?” Somehow she knew this was about to turn into a very long night.

Poirt sighed slightly as he looked at the illusion of his sister once again. He stood up and silently walked through the snow to the door of the Danger Room. He entered a code and the program shut off. Looking at the place where the house and his sister just stood, Piotr knew that his sister loved him, although he couldn't save her. He opened the door to the danger room and stepped out, only to have a young man ran right into him. “It wasn’t my fault! Where’s Dr. Grey?” the boy quickly asked. Piotr looked at him for a short moment trying to figure out exactly what the biy haden't done when he heard the machines from the other room working. "Follow me." he said as he began to walk towards the room.
Upon entering the room he saw Remy lying there, with all sorts of lights and other things going off aorund him. Piotr had no idea what was happening, but he knew that the boy was right. They had to find Jean.
~JEAN!?~ He called out as loud as he could in his mind, praying she would be able to hear him right now. ~Somethings going on with Remy, I don't know whats wrong. Please, get here now. I don't know what to do.....There's a boy here also. I'll keep an eye on him, but please.~
Piotr looked at the boy for a moment, knowing that if she could help Jean would be here soon. Piotr looked back at his friend on the bed, unsure of what to do.
"What happened?"

Post by Remington LeBeau on Feb 18, 2006 21:00:19 GMT -5
It had been a long time since New Orleans and the royal beating he’d taken along with the loss of so many. Man known as Remington LeBeau or Gambit to the X-Men had never regained consciousness from that fight. It was the last time he saw anyone he knew Betsy, Logan, Bella…Creed. The Cajun was in a state he couldn’t wake himself from and in the darkness it seemed like an eternity until he heard her voice. “Bella?” in the dark he saw his ex-wife walking towards him, but she was dead, did that mean he had finally let go.
“Wha’ is dis place. Chere ya me guide on?” he questioned the figure of his wife, and she responded. “No I’m here to lead you back Remy, it’s not your time.” Gambit gave a questioning look as he was taken a hold of guided through the darkness. Following the blonde red orbs watched as they came to his comatose body and the look of a boy standing over him. “Who de ‘ell is dat?” when the boy touched him Remy could feel it and it drew him back to his body. Mutant ability awakening from the return of his wandering spirit, the purple glow spread to the first thing it could.
The explosion echoed in his ears and mouth gasped for air against the other tubing. He wanted to yell or do something but without the use of his muscles he was helpless. Kinetic energy shot off into the other tubing. “Aargh!” heart rate quickened as the machine monitoring him blew up.

Logan stepped forwards, the cowboy boots he wore clomping along the ground. Rogue had been in deep thought. Hell, he’d been around her long enough to know when she had something on her mind. At times they were quite the pair. Arms folded against his broad chest, brows narrowing slightly as she stood looking at him. Acting as if nothing was bothering her at all. “Whut look? Might that be?” “The one where your not sure of yourself, like before you run.” It was Christmas, and Wolverine wasn’t born yesterday. Rogue couldn’t hid that she hurt, at least from him, that she missed the man laying near dead in the depths of the Mansion.
Wolverine had been there that dreadful night. The night everything went to hell. Victor Creed. Form tensed at the thought, he’d been too late. While Remy, lost everything including his life, in an essence. They were able to stabilize him, but the Cajun never woke. Though he never admitted it, it got to Logan as well. “You haven’t seen him have you?” Wolverine stepped closer to the Mississippi woman, arms uncrossing as he neared. Hand place on her shoulder as he looked up towards her. They had a better relationship than most, and a silent understanding, Logan had been through enough with her to know these things. It was like the protective feeling he had once held for Jubilee and Kitty. Now for the younger students, X and Jamie, all of them.
“Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow, I’ll go down with ya.” Part of this was sidelining the fact that he had his own situations to deal with. That he didn’t know what to do about Heather and their son, about his relationship with Jean. But tonight it was getting late. Logan shifted his weight pulling the woman into a hug. A rare sight to catch when he did, but he had the feeling she was in good need of it. And just as quickly he released stepping back from her. “I’ll finish the rounds tonight. Merry Christmas, Rogue.”

With a gasp of breath the young mutant rose to his sneakers. The man before him was huge, bigger than even Rockslide was. Eyes scanned the dark haired man who seemed to only stare back. Questions of who he was came into the teenaged boys mind. He’d never seen the man before, and unlike Jay or some of the others, didn’t know X-Men members. Brow quirked, he’d come out from the Danger Room, so he must have had some clearance to enter it. Earlier in the afternoon, when he found out about his own true origins he’d run off, or he would have seen the man’s return. The sounds of the machines from the other room caused him to look back which only added to the suspicion. “Follow me.”
Those were actually words he dreaded hearing from the man before him. Jamie backed up allowing Piotr to pass him by. Room he’d gone into looked like chaos was breaking free. The same purple glow happened again as he stepped slightly behind the man before him. There was a look on his face though as if he knew the man lying on the bed. It only added to the guilt Jamie was feeling for being someplace he shouldn’t have been. When he felt eyes upon him again he shifted awkwardly. “What happened?” “I didn’t do it. At least I don’t think I did. My powers don’t work like that. I’m a phantom, a ghost…”
Jamie looked up to the questioning gaze. Hand running back against the nape of his neck as he stepped away. The man on the bed yelped out and he looked forwards past the large man standing near him. Swallowing he looked back. “I saw this woman and I followed her…when I got in the room she was gone. She was dead. I can see them. All I did was touch him…I think he was an X-Man.” He wondered if he was going to get in trouble for this. To go into the Danger Room you needed a staff member, even to be places down here. James let his back fall against the wall as the monitor exploded. He didn’t know that the man on the bed, was causing the explosions.

Her expression shifted, her green eyes widening like a deer’s eyes would when caught in the headlights of an oncoming car and then slowly they narrowed. Inwardly she cursed Logan and his knowing perception of her and in the same thought she also cursed herself for allowing him to figure her out so well, but even without her consent he would’ve anyways, “ Ah might’ve entertained tha idea.” Her own arms folded, “ Do ya blame me? Ah think not…” In many ways the two had a similar way of dealing with the unexpected, but Logan had changed, he didn’t run as far anymore.
With his next comment her resolved cracked, her head fell and she stared at the ground. Over the years it had become difficult to keep up her tough girl attitude, with each personal trial she dealt with a part of that aspect faded just a little leaving her raw and scared of herself, “ No… ah wanna, but a part of me dun’t know if ah can take it.” Her stare lifted, strands of white falling across them hiding the sudden glassiness of her eyes a testament she was fighting back tears, “ After all tha last time he was in a coma ah put’im there.” She sighed pushing her hair back, “Memories hurt y’know, especially yer own.”
But then there were other things besides the memories, there was the fact Remy had no idea what she had been through over the last few months, in fact he knew nothing at all about what she’s been through… and she wasn’t sure if she was ready or could tell him everything should he wake up, “Ah know this is gunna sound odd, but a part of me wishes he wouldn’t wake up…. He’d be free from all this, but tha selfish part of me wants ta go down there an’ demand him ta. Just so ah can try an’ right some wrongs ah’ve made b’tween us.” And then something unexpected, the short gruff man hugged her.
“ Thanks.” She said solemnly and wiped an escaped tear from her cheek, “ Ah’ll try… but no guarantees.” Moving passed him, Rogue headed for the kitchen door and paused a moment before stepping out it to look back, “ Merry Christmas Furball.” Giving a smirk she slipped out the door and headed for her room.

Upon entering the kitchen she noticed that the person they were searching for was not to be found. Sighing just slightly she narrowed her eyes as the words from Sofia echoed behind her. Then came Rogue's own words, Cessily let her pupiless gave turn towards the woman and she just stared at her. Something told Cess she wasn't going to like the girl very much, but of course Cessily was prone to quick judgements sometimes. Especially when people told her things or acted in ways she didn't like. And especially when she wasn't in a good mood.
Nodding slowly she turned from the woman and gave Sofia another look. "Yeah let's try his Dorm room then." and without another words or any waiting for her input, Cessily was out of the kitchen. Nearly knocking into Mr. Logan who was entering right in. But she didn't have time to stop as she just shouted back towards him. "Sorry Professor Logan." and she was off. Her quick walking strides began to quicken, and to turn into running. She wondered slightly if Sofia was still behind her but somewhere she did not care. As she moved for the stair well she heard a voice from someone she knew. It was X who was walking calmly by and so stoicly she spoke. "He's down still." Cessily didn't know what the heck she was talking about so she just really ignored the girl as X made her way outside.
Each step was not taken, but every second step was. Upon arrival at Kevin's door she could hear some movings about within. A few of the boys gave her an odd look as she just wiggled her fingers towards them before knocking on the door. Rap Rap Rap. "Kevin..Are you in there?" Then she stood back, waiting for the boy to answer if well he was in there.

Upon exiting the mansion, the cold air snipped at her face. She could feel the pale skin becoming just slightly rosey but in all fairness it was beautiful outside. The scents that she took in, faint smells of teachers and students, rather recent smells of Logan and his Motorcycle. But no one else seemed to be out here now, it was probably to late to reach the outside world, and besides the world became colder at night. The sky was less than cloudy as the moon shone down like a bright light in the sky. Every stare could be seen, and the world above was dark as ever it came to be at night time.
On her way out she did however speak to her last person for the day so far. Cessily was running by. "He's still down." was her only cold response to seeing the girl. She didn't mean Kevin, she meant Jamie as she heard the raised voice from Kevin when she came upstairs. She was referring to Jamie. But she didn't care about anything else at this moment.
She didn't take off running just yet, no her feet were secured in place as she glanced back at the mansion. A light was on in Kevin's room, meaning he was probably still away in there, a few other rooms still had their lights lite as well. Even some of the younger students who should be in bed as per order were up and having some last minute fun. She figured soon they would be caught though as she could hear their ruckus through the walls and outside. Suddenly her feet began to move and she stopped once at a room luminated with light as well as the cheerfulness of everyone else in the Kitchen. She stood facing the window and stared in to watch those occupants inside. Some were drinking beverages, others were just leaving and some were trying to salvage what was left of the horrible burnt cookies. Everyone still seemed though to be in the most high of spirits. What it was about this day that made it so X had a feeling she could never know. Tilting her head just slightly to the side, she glanced down at the figurine in her hand before she turned completely around. Tucking the figurine in a safe pouch at her side.
Finally they began, her feet moved at first slowly before they quickened in haste. She wanted away from the confusing smells and people in the Mansion to be honest. She wanted to be like she was always, alone in her own world. She was running now, her speed a great thing. Her form was headed towards the forest and deep within the sanctum of the trees. She was however side tracked by a large barn that came into her view. She had never been there before. Slipping in through the door way she heard a noise that caused her head to tilt. There in the stable a large creature stood staring out at her. X had only seen these Horse creatures on television on in books but never in person. When she left the facility she stayed in the cities. Sometimes a carriage would be drawn but never near X. Slowly she moved towards it with wide green eyes and just stared it in the eyes. It made a few noises but never really anything significant. From one of the noises however X's claws came out. It didn't scare her, but she was unsure if the creature was friendly to say or not. She then noticed the lock on the door and somehow perhaps read the look in the proud creatures eyes wrong. Her claws hit the lock with such a force that it snapped off and she swung the door ajar. Then she did the same to the other two that were also kept bounded behind the door. And turning back to the magestic one who stared at her she spoke softly. "You are free now." But he didn't move, at least not until X screamed like a beast did they take off out into the yard of the Institute. X following behind them. She ran, not as fast as they did but slightly behind. Not chasing them but running with them with a big smile on her face. They didn't move towards the gates though, no instead they just ran the courses they were given before. The feilds of Xaviers and for once in a long time, X felt normal.
