Strange as it seemed… the holidays were never something special to her, however as she neared the gates of the school-she felt something familiar. She circled a few times on her bike before taking a deep breath. She knew he wouldn’t be there- the one person she needed most. None-the-less she began to move towards the entrance.
A few nimble fingers as she was in-Xavier kept her updated on the new passcode. A sigh of relief, in an odd turn of events, escaped from her lips as she moved through the plowed driveway. Nothing seemed to have changed-however she knew inside that there HAD to have been at least three rebuilds since she was last here.
Silently she wondered, as she pulled up, who would be here. However she soon had her answer as she eyed Wolverine come from the side and Jean walk back inside where it was nice and warm. Eyes turned and looked around, a seemingly delicate hand pushed away fallen bangs as she rose a brow. New team of mutants… and once Heather Hudson. It was interesting to see all of this unfold at once, however she couldn’t help but just nod and take her helmet, walking past everyone without uttering a word.
Sure seeing Jean made Dom’s skin crawl slightly, knowing that the man she once loved was this woman’s step-son, but none-the-less Dom completely respected the redhead. “Jean Grey… long time no see…” she commented softly as she walked into the kitchen, brow rose slightly as she felt some tension. “Something going on around here outside of the holidays?” She wasn’t too great with human contact and well talking to them at all, but she was giving it a try.

Trudging through the snow he found himself in the warmth and by his room. He didn’t know what to do with the present, wrap it or just give it to her? Furrowing his brows he grabbed an old box he found and placed it in there, a bow adorning the top. He knew he couldn’t be forgiven easily for his reaction but he would try.
Taking a breath he put a small note on the box which read “For Laura, X-23, Xevannah.” Whichever she wanted to be called he would let her choose. There was no note or anything other than the word ‘Sorry-Kevin’ written on the inside of the small note. Rarely did Kevin admit to being wrong, but for this one… he was and he knew it.
His body made it down the hall before slowly and carefully slipping into X’s room and placing the box upon her bed. He was sorry… it was obvious. However he decided it best to leave X’s room quick and carefully. He couldn’t believe he had done it but whatever, whats done is done, he thought to himself before moving quickly down the stairs and out the door again-perfect timing to see Jamie run up to a woman who appeared to be his mother.
Kevin sighed-how he wished he could see his dad. Moving towards the two he watched them embrace before nudging Jamie on the side. “You gunna introduce or wha, Jame?” He laughed slightly as he turned to Jamie’s mom. “Forget it, I’m Kevin, Jamie’s roomie.” A smile came across his lips as he checked his hands-he was in one pair of gloves, he wouldn’t shake hands just yet. However his eyes fell back to X who seemed to stand alone.
He took a deep breath and looked her in the face before smiling, his body quickly turning back towards the mother and son team.

She was content with watching, sure it would’ve been nice to engage in the festivities of a snow fight, but it just wasn’t in her at the moment. Part of her was troubled by her lack of enthusiasm, but the rest of her, the logical side of her knew it would be a while before she was as close to normal as she could get. Still it bothered her and gave her too much time to think and dwell on things she hadn’t before.
Tucking a strand of white behind her ear, Rogue stood and headed back inside, curling up by the fire sounded like a rather good idea. Heading for the kitchen the southern belle whipped herself up a nice frothy hot chocolate and headed for the hardly used living room, the fire roaring in it courtesy of Logan. Pausing by the rec. room on her way, Rogue recovered one of her books she had hidden in there and then tucked herself into her retreat curled up in a chair with Austin’s “Pride and Prejudice”... However her mind was any where but on the words printed on the pages of the book. Her mind was instead on how close she had actually come to death… on how close she came from not seeing those she cared about, even loved again.
Shaking her head, Rogue once again tried to concentrate on the book. It was one of her favorites, she identified well with the main heroine with being stubborn and unwilling to be loved… however it was Lizzie’s own fault she wouldn’t be where as Rogue’s wasn’t completely her own fault. Well… it was but it wasn’t, a very complicated matter. It was all in the past for the most part though, at the moment it was a part of the present but as soon as she got back her strength and her mind was more healed she’d be about to touch again. For a moment she felt like laughing, she felt cynical at the fact how much she had taken that blessing for granted. She never would again….in fact from now on there would be a lot less she would take for granted.
Glancing up from her book, Rogue watched the world outside the window, the smiles on faces and the snow being flung here and there. But then she noticed something from the corner of her eye… a car, “ Who in tha…” It didn’t look familiar at all. Curious Rogue snatched her discarded jacket and headed back outside, book and the steaming mug of hot chocolate forgotten. Of course by the time she got back outside, Rogue knew exactly who it was and glanced towards Jean heading back inside the house and kind of in a hurry. Yup, something was going on here alright, “ Somethin’s rotten in Denmark alright.” The Southerner commented to herself and stood at the side of the Mansion observing just where all of this was headed.

She was laughing. It felt good to laugh, refreshing. Grinning mischievously, Sofia lobbed a well directed ( and wind helped) snowball right at Mr. Drake and winked. To the South American beauty he was a bit too cute to be a teacher, let alone off limits. Part of her was glad Julian wasn’t around, heaven knows he’d pick right up on her little crush and embarrass her with it out of jealousy because she didn’t or rather refused to look at him or think of him in such a way.
Seeing that the no powers rule had basically been forgotten, Wind Dancer decided to live true to her code name; Lifting herself up from the ground, she began to spin and gather snow around her when suddenly she felt a hand snatch about her ankle and pull her down into the snow, covering her with it. Wiping the snow from her face, Sofia glanced up to see it was one of the younger students and smiled, “ There goes my chance for winning now!” And with that lobbed a good-sized snowball right at the kid’s face. Standing up, she wiped the rest of the snow from her wintry dressed form and gazed around, no one was throwing snow anymore and were gravitating towards a car she had never seen before.
Curious herself, Sofia slowly trailed after the group sticking to the back of it, which unfortunately made it difficult to see who exactly had arrived. Using enough wind to lift her from the ground, Sofia watched with curious eyes as a very pretty red haired woman remove herself from it, instantly whispers began and so Sofia had to use her powers to bring too her what she wanted to hear.
“You gunna introduce or wha, Jame?”
“Forget it, I’m Kevin, Jamie’s roomie.”
So Jamie knew this woman? Interesting Sofia thought to herself kept an eye and ear out for any other interesting bit of news. Of course the idea struck her that maybe the woman was Jamie’s mom… it would make sense especially considering the more she looked at the woman the more Jamie sorta looked like her.

Ever since the mission went foul Cessily was not the same, or at least it was going to take her a while. She didn't get to go on the mission, she was busy saving one friend while another perished. Somehow she blamed herself, but it wasn't her fault so it was only a very small amount of her that felt that bad. Every other student was feeling down in some way as well. The whole mansion was not itself, it didn't take a fool to see it. But most had gotten over it, at least for the holiday's, everyone was growing much more cheerful. She watched from the upstairs window as the other students and even staff were busy having a fight with snow or decorating. That was their way of ignoring it.
Slowly she made her way down stairs and out into the yard as they were ushered. She watched silently as everyone who didn't go home for the holiday's have their fun. But Cess was not in the mood. She was tired and becoming exhausted. She hadn't sleep for more than an hour if even that each night since the whole fiasco took place. Somehow she wouldn't be surprized if her room mate heard her crying during the night, but from the deep sleep that girl often got she doubted she did. She cried herself until she could not anymore for the sheer fact that Brian, a dear friend and brother to her was dead. She cried because the last thing she said to him was how annoyed she was with him and Santo and just wished them to go away. She cried because she never got to say good bye to him.
Another big reason why she well kept to herself around this time of year was the thought of her parents. She was lucky she guessed to still have hers, alot of people here didn't. But to her, she didn't have parents really. Not in the same way as alot of other people. Cessily wasn't treated normally by them, when her mutant powers began to manifest they were no longer proud of her, their perfect little girl was now a freak in their eyes. They still showed her little bits of affection but to the neighbours she was hidden away. Locked in the house from the public eye. And at the quickest chance they got, they shipped her off to Xavier's school. She didn't want to go back to be honest at the holidays, because it meant she wasn't allowed anywhere, and how fun was that?
While she walked along the path, a sudden ball of white stuff came hurling towards her. Solid silver eyes glanced up to look towards the arrival of someone that made Jamie rather happy and as she did look the ball of snow hit her square in the back. Suddenly as if all her built up emotions burst she snapped quickly around. Eyes narrowing and brows quickly turning downward in anger. That was before she began to scream loudly. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! OUR FRIENDS HAVE JUST BEEN KILLED HOW THE HELL CAN YOU HAVE FUN!!! HOW CAN YOU FORGET THEM! YOU ALL DISGUST ME!!!" her words were harsh and poisonous, unlike the normal Cessily. Then her words became low. "I hope you all get nothing for christmas and are MISERABLE!"
Quickly she spun back around and took off in the opposite direction. Her hands quivering from the emotions she was trying to hold again within. She rounded about a corner and out of sight. Hoping that this was a good enough hiding place as any her back pressed against the brick siding and she slinked down to crouch near the ground. Her face suddenly buried in her hands as tears ran freely. She didn't know if she could go on here. She didn't know if she could risk loosing someone else.

X stood silently behind Jamie, a bit back in order not to intrude upon territory. But the woman seemed friendly enough as she hugged her son and smiled towards X. Laura let her green orbs not even narrow or move as she stared at the woman. But at the sudden appearence of another buy her head began to tilt downwards a bit. Kevin had come into the picture and in Jamie's excitement over seeing his mother and Kevin's sudden interest in the woman it gave her chance to slip away.
In the distance she heard it, a yell that everyone in the yard was able to hear. Eyes raised to watch the Silver one they called Cessily run from the area. She shouted things that made some of the students seem stunned and shocked. But X was neither. From what she could tell from the girl when she saw her every once in a while, she was very upset. Lately she was just not herself.
Her hands slowly pocketed themselves again in her black leather jacket. Her gaze studied for moments everyone within the area, some she had known for only a short time, others she had never talked to before. Everything just seemed so odd lately. She would have to have a word with Weapon X, though not right now as his reaction to the womans arrival seemed not of himself and as if he had other things on his mind.
Just then she thought of something that would make her very happy again. The Danger Room and its simulations. Kitty was always more than happy to watch her go at it, more than happy as well to try and get an upgrade good enough to defeat the young X. That was proving to be difficult for the woman but she seemed the most happy just trying.
Trudging through the snow, her brow raised once at a few younger children who were laying in the snow and moving their arms and legs to make a pattern. Everyone was so odd lately. Finally she made it into the mansion, but her first stop would be her room. She had to grab the modified uniform she was issued previously. The trip up the stairs and to the dorm rooms was not a long one, and she didn't break stride either. Not when she heard strange laughter as the inside was being strung up with garland and lights from different students. The smell of the cookies that had been taken outside by Jean was still in the air and causing a smile to slightly appear on X's face. They smelled really good. Slowly she entered her room and couldn't mistake the scent in there, Kevin had been here, not to long ago as a matter of fact, odd. She slowly made her way to grab her uniform, but something caught her eye. There was a box on her bed. Raising another brow, she moved to the soft object and sat beside the box. Taking it in her hands and opening it slowly, her brows rose high as she stared at the small figuring inside. Somehow it reminded her of Kevin, as she picked it up and examined the features. Her head tilted slowly as she suddenly placed it back into the box slowly and read the note that had fallen out. It was from Kevin. Raising a brow she stood slowly with the note still in hand and walked towards the window. Looking out into the yard below and watching Kevin and the others below. Why did he give her this? X didn't understand.

James grinned, he couldn’t help it. Having his mother arrive at the institute was an unexpected surprise. He loved it. Around the holiday he’d gotten a little homesick. Not that everyone hadn’t been accepting of him and welcoming. It just wasn’t home. The young man had been caught up in the moment and hardly noticed X getting closer behind him or his roommate Kevin closing in. Let alone the look on Logan’s face. Shifting Jamie looked towards Kevin as he spoke. “Oh, mum this is my roommate. I’ll introduce you to everyone else eh.”
It had seemed as if his mothers arrival caused an uprising in the other students. Most of them were curious to see who was up. Half of them still played and enjoyed the snow. As something broke the attention the appearance of Heather Hudson had created. Someone was yelling. Jamie clenched his jaw causing the muscles to twitch. Cessily was taking it hard. A lot of people did. Death wasn’t something easily dealt with. Even he was still struggling. However it was part of him and he accepted it. Eyes looked up to his mother as she gave him an inquisitive stare. “A lot’s happened. I’ll tell you about it later.” “Alright dear. Nice to meet you Kevin.”
Heather smiled, but there was a lot on her mind. But one in general. Eyes looked up past her son to the man feet away. Breath caught for a moment, he looked the same as the night he left. Like all the time they’d spent together. Still rugged and handsome. Heather looked away and to her suitcase picking it up. Maybe she’d been wrong to come here. Wrong to agree to Charles Xaviers invitation, perhaps the man knew something more. She was sure he did, and Jamie, did he know anything. Eyes lingered to her son, she knew about the accident his first day. It was Christmas Eve she didn’t want to spoil the holiday, but knew deep down she needed to be alone with Logan. To talk to him, tell him the truth. Tell Jamie the truth.
Jamie took the bag from his mom and moved forwards. He caught the brief gaze she gave Professor Logan and figured he’d introduce her to him first. How did he know the two had already met before. The other students went about their way as he moved forwards into the snow. “Professor Logan, this is my mum. Mum, this is Professor Logan.” “Logan.” Heather smiled and tried not to make anything more of it. Until she had a chance to speak with him, she didn’t want to let Jamie know. Jamie walked with his mother inside, introducing her to the few others he knew, like the newest acquaintance Rogue. Inside he started to walk and found Dr. Grey and his eyes went up to his mother. “Mum, I want you to meet Dr. Grey…I’ve helped her out with some mechanical stuff. Like I used to do with you. I even learned how to fly a little.”

Post by Logan: Weapon X: Wolverine on Jan 9, 2006 0:44:20 GMT -5
Weapon X was used to fighting and facing his own demons. His own haunts. But not being able to protect those boys shook something loose in him. Wolverine knew he owed more to Jean. Another rocky start. It was something he didn’t want to do to her. He wanted to prove he could be more, be there, be the ‘good guy’. Things were slowly getting back to normal. Well as normal as they could get at the Xavier Institute. There had been another arrivial, Dom had come back.
Or so he though. It wasn’t until the appearance of Heather he thought otherwise. Eyes lifted towards Jean. She had looked back at him then retreated inside. It wasn’t what their relationship needed. Logan sighed. Jean tried to be strong, he knew this, but with Heather here now it was different. Jean knew that dark little secret the widowed heather kept from her son. Had kept from him. It was the very secret they’d kept for a month from James jr. Mind still lingered on thoughts of Jean as the Hudsons neared. Eyes looked up towards Heather and their son. “Professor Logan, this is my mum. Mum, this is Professor Logan.” “Logan.”
“Mrs. Hudson.” Head nodded as he refused her hand. Afraid to make contact with the woman after so long and everything between them. It didn’t keep him from being polite in front of Jamie. Were the same things on her mind that were on his. X had snuck away in the commotion. Wolverine had wanted to talk to her earlier. Help her understand why everyone was going a bit strange. Weapon X was fairly cretin it was her first Christmas. Moving he gripped the tree trunk again and looked directly towards Heather. “If you’ll excuse me…”
With a slight grunt he continued. Trying to push away the mix of things with Heather so near. Pushing through the doors, Wolverine looked up past Rogue and then Jean as he did. Boxes of decorations were sitting ready for the tree, and a few eager students ready to get the massive evergreen decorated for Christmas. Pushing the tree up he took a step back looking up at it. With a half turn he looked back to where Jean had been, who was now with Jamie and Heather.
Wolverine glanced towards her as he shifted. It had been something that was hidden for far too long. Shrugging off his jacket he lie it over the back of a chair. Moving forwards he stepped up towards the group looking down towards Jamie. “Hey kid, maybe you could take you’re mum’s stuff to the room she’ll be staying. I’d like to have a word with her.” “Go ahead James. You can finish showing me around in a bit. Dr. Grey, it was nice to meet you.” Muscles in his jaw twitched much like the young boys had on occasion. Eyes went from Heather towards Jean. Mentally he reached out to her. . o O ( Jeanie…I didn’t know she was coming…I gotta talk to her ) O o . Weapon X shifted again, it was clear as day in his body language that he wasn’t settled with the situation. That he didn’t know what he was going to do. With Heather or Jean. She’d accepted Jamie, but how would she handle Heather being there, even if it was only for a few days. Once again he shifted his weight on his cowboy boots.

“Nice to meet you Kevin”
The sudden yelling of someone hit his ears quickly and he turned. He nodded to the statement that Jamie’s mom made and he began to walk off towards the yell. He knew that voice anywhere and suddenly he felt guilty. How could he forget his pain as soon as someone new came along. Just because Jamie’s mom was here, didn’t mean that nothing was wrong and nothing happened.
He knew who was taking it the hardest. Then the kids passing him talking about a silver emotional nutbag didn’t leave him with anyone else to worry about but Cess. He should have been with her regardless and it was his fault. Well it was his fault she never got to say goodbye as well.
Turning the corner his eyes searched for the girl who had been like a sister to him. He couldn’t let her cry alone. That’s when he found her, curled up crying by the snow. He shook his head and knelt next to her and let his arms curl around her. There were no words he could say to make her feel better.
So silence engulfed them both, only to be broken by her sobs. His head rested against her wool hat which was quickly eaten away by his abilities, but he didn’t care, she needed someone, they all did. But who else but eachother did they have.
“Cess… yelling at us won’t make them come back.” He whispered softly before leaning back and reaching his gloved hands for hers.

Cessily wanted to be only now. But deep down she knew that was the worst thing for her. She hated how everything was going, she wished she could just time travel to the future anyways when she was going to be alright. She didn't know honestly though if she would ever be ok, at least not 100 percent. Brian wasn't her best friend, heck she only knew him for a few years and most of the time he was hanging with Santos if not with the rest of the group. But he was still part of the Hellions and he was still one of her good friends. It's never easy to loose anyone, especially a friend. She felt like such a bitch, how she yelled at him before she left and before they all left. Why couldn't they just wait a few more moments? She could have made the jet by then.
As she slowly raised her head and wiped a tear from her eyes, an arm wrapped around her. She didn't notice Kevin come into the area until then. She didn't care to be honest. She also felt her wool toque slowly disappear under the touch of his forhead leaning onto his. Kevin was in the same boat as her and Julian, he didn't go on the mission. He missed the jet, he must have understood, or well understood better than alot of others who just didn't seem to care. Or well they did but pushed it away so quickly.
He whispered softly to her and suddenly life seemed to spark into the sobbing metallic girl. Her head snapped up and those pair of solid silver pupiless eyes stared right towards him. They held a mysterious yet very intense look about them.
"I just want him back Kevin...even if for just a little bit. I want him to know I did love him like the good pal he was, and that I miss him and.." she lowered her head slowly and closed her eyes. The tears had stopped pouring down at some extent but they still trailed slowly along her cheeks. "I just..I wish I could say goodbye. I didn't even get to say goodbye."

Jamie looked up towards Logan then his mother and sighed slightly. Picking up the bags his mother had brought. He wanted to stay around him mother, but figured they had something to talk about. Sneakers shuffled against the ground as he found the empty room that had been expressed to him for his mothers use. Setting her luggage down, Jamie turned. It would be nice to have his mother there. Part of him had missed her.
There was someone else on his mind too. Cessily. She’d taken it a lot harder then most of the other students. Maybe he should try and find her, help her cope. For a while he searched around the Mansion before heading outside. Hands shoved into his pockets as a chilled breeze whipped past him. There was still the laughter of other students enjoying their snow day. Then he saw her, and Kevin was with her. Both of them hadn’t made it on the mission. Drawing a breath the young boy moved. Snow crunched under his shoes as he neared the pair.
“Hey…” His voice was softer, he didn’t want to seem as if he’d been eavesdropping or trying to interrupt them. Brows arched slightly under his bangs. Stepping a little closer he took the other side of Cess, nodding his head the direction of his roommate. What Kevin said had been good advice. Inside he felt bad as Cessily spoke once again. Taking a moment he tried to find the right words that could help her. Maybe he should say the truth as far as he knew it.
“Cess, can I tell you something about that day. I felt both of them. When they died. I wish my powers were different, that I could help you. Brian and David are somewhere better, some where safe. They didn’t stay around in that astral plane.” Jamie turned some, taking her silver hand in one of his. It should have been something he said earlier. Let them know the boys weren’t afraid when they died. That they didn’t have any unfinished business, that they were willing to accept their fates. “I think he knew, Cessily.”

Christmas was supposed to be a joyous time… but more or less it was becoming anything but that. Death was over-shadowing, emotions were running high and surprises at every turn. So far Sofia realized she hadn’t had a normal Christmas since coming to the States and she was beginning to wander if she ever would again. Feeling a pang of guilt hit her at Cessily’s words… the girl was right, it hadn’t even been a week since they had buried their friends and teammates and they were all acting as if everything was great, which it wasn’t.
For a moment awkward silence hung in the air and then Jamie broke it and everyone sort of went about their own business, a few of the kids following Logan in the Mansion to decorate the tree, but Sofia found herself rooted in place for a moment as the reality of the situation hit her. David was gone… the brains of the New Mutants squad was no more, what would she do now? Could she lead without his aid? Should she give up trying to be a leader… or keep the position in his honor? Suddenly the usually easy going young woman felt very blue and alone, now she was beginning to understand how Cessily felt and became ashamed of her own actions.
Finally she discovered she could move and then headed inside and decided to help decorate the tree… after all neither David nor Brian would want them to mope around would they? Quietly she sighed and forced herself to smile as she moved upwards to help decorate the upper parts of the tree.

For one strange occurrence in her life as an X-Man, Rogue found herself on the outside of a situation looking in, she watched with curious green eyes as the students gathered around the new kid and none other than Heather Hudson who if last names said anything was said new kid’s mother and the more she looked at the two the more obvious it became… but what became more interesting was some of the kid’s other features that were beginning to remind her of good friend, but of course it could just be one of those uncanny things too and nothing more. Yeah right, the Southern Belle thought to herself, after all nothing is ever that easy or simple.
Seemingly out of notice by others, she chose to stay as such rather enjoying the scene playing out… until one of the students made her pain painfully obvious and Rogue found herself feeling quite guilty about the girl’s sudden outburst, after all if she hadn’t been in trouble those two boys who had lost their lives so gallantly would still be here. Biting her lower lip, the River Rat fought with herself wither or not to go after the girl, who sort of reminded her of herself at that age, confused and angry as hell. But then she remembered at that age sometimes being alone was the best thing to work out one’s feelings and anger.
However… Rogue turned on her heel and moved to go after Cessily when she found herself instead caught up in the group entering the house and found herself in the entry hall and again the curious observer. As Logan glanced to her she nodded and then leaned against the wall and waited for whatever was going to happen to happen, but of course nothing did and so Rogue moved her way into the Common room to supervise the tree decorating. For a moment she smiled at the crazy antics of said decorating, “ It’s lookin’ good chillins.” Which got her a few thank yous and some you really think sos, but at the sound of Logan’s voice telling Jamie he wanted a word with Heather, Rogue located herself near the doorway of the room so she could pick up why there seemed to be more tension than normal between him and Heather. Sure it was dangerous business to eavesdrop on Logan’s personal matters… but the temptation to know what was going on seemed far more satisfying than not getting on the hairball’s bad side.

Sometimes in the light of things it was better not to be alone. And Cessily thought maybe this moment was one of them. Kevin was here with her now and soon Jamie had joined, Suddenly Cessily felt just thatuch better. Afte all, one of the greatest things to feel in life, or the greatest gift when down in the dumps was the consolation of friends.
There was a long moment in which nothing was said at all. In which all three just sat there silently, staring at the ground. The only noise that was ever made was a sob every once in a while, but Cessily was calming down, as much as it hurt she knew somehow that Brian and David were looking on them telling them to cheer up, to have fun, that they shouldn't be sad but happy. This was Christmas time afterall. And with the words Jamie gave about how they passed on forward, it gave Cessily just that extra bit of comfort.
Finally there was movement and Cessily wiped the reminance of tears from her eyes. With a deep sigh, her silver head glance up and her silver pupiless eyes looking at each of them one by one. She looked at her friends, she looked at Kevin who leaned into her comfortingly, and she looked at Jamie who did the same with the small gesture of a hand taken. She felt the corners of her lips slightly m for a moment move, but only for a moment into a very small smile. She was going to make sure nothing happened to anyone else. But that smile soon faded as she looked out ahead into the empty area around.
"I'm sorry..for almost Ruining the mood of Christmas..I guess I'm just a bit upset, especially around this time of year." and she had her reasons, Not only was the fact that Brian and David had been taken to early, but also the fact she wasn't home for christmas. She wasn't with her mom and dad. It's not that she wanted to be, in fact she so did. But Cessily was a closet hater. She secretly hated being a Mutant, or at least she hated her powers. She didn't want silver skin, she didn't want to melt into puddles or shape things, she just wanted to look normal. Not for her as so much for her Parents. Parents who told her to stay at the Mansion and not come back, parents who keep her locked inside a house so the neighbours wouldn't see how much of a freak she was. "I guess...theres just alot of things bothering me right now.." Parents who didn't call on Birthdays or Christmas, or any other time of the year anymore. "Maybe we should go inside? My butt is getting a bit cold." and for the first time in a few days, Cessily was trying to be just a bit funny, maybe more in the memory of Brian than anything, and for David and the fact they wouldn't want her like this.

X watched as something had happened. Kevin went running after the silver girl named Cessily, and Jamie followed soon after. And soon enough as well many of the students were headed inside. She could hear their voices through the walls and windows, she could hear the door open as if it was right in this room, and she could hear the laughter and words and songs being sung downstairs. Everyone seemed so oddly all of a sudden Happy around this time of year, and of course the Stoic Enigmatic X was just as confused about what was going on as she was confused about alot of things in her life. She just didn't know why they felt it was such a happy time of year, what made it so special and why.
X turned from the windows as the scents filled the room, she could name every one of them seperatly, except for that new one. She figured it was that of the new woman who came, Jamie's mother if X was not mistaken. Note still in hand and small figure as well, she began to move. As she passed the bed she let the note fall onto the sheets. X had become curious really and she wanted to see what was going on down stairs. Slowly she made her way there, and slowly she came to a room where the sudden scent of Pine filled every inch and corner. It reminded her of home and she smiled just a bit but it soon faded.
X found herself moving to one of the corners and watching the other students in complete silence. She watched as they strung up lights and hung balls, and garland was wrapped around and people played with everything they could get there hands on. They were making the tree look so funny in X's opinion. Without much of an expression she turned her eyes towards the fireplace in which other decorations were being placed as well. People she thought were so odd. Why they were doing anything of this made no sense to X. Why would they? What was the outcome? What purpose would it serve in the end?
X watched then with bright green eyes as Logan and that woman left the room and as the White striked haired woman stood so close to the door way they escaped through. Over all the noises she could hear what was being said outside the room, but X paid attention not to pay attention. She was a curious girl of course but whatever was going on out there wasn't much of her business. Not that she would have reacted in any way much at all. Staring at the white haired girl her head tilted slowly to the side. Watching her with those pair of curious eyes.
